I think that I mentioned before that I am in the process of making gift bags for my DD's friends for Christmas. I just love the scallop punch from SU! and it works perfect for these.
I took Lavendar Lace paper and punched it twice for each ornament with the scallop punch. I then punched a 1 3/8" circle in Bashful Blue and the 1 1/4" circle punch in white stamped CS. I stamped randon snowflakes in Bashful Blue and Ballet Blue inks. The snowflake stamps are from Great Impressions and Hampton Art. On the reverse scallop punch I used the "To and From" stamp from SU's Tag Team.
I then added a sticky strip to both sides of the candy and added the ribbon. More sticky for the scallop punches ~ and viola! All done...
These are fun and super quick to make. I made them just sitting watching TV last night. Of course the bag of peppermint patties were almost empty so I had to hurry and make these before they were gone :)'

Pomegranate Christmas!!

I must say that I LOVE Stampin' Up's satin ribbon... It is so pretty, and not to thick to add it to a card. Well yesterday I piddled around and made this card. Now mind you, most of my Christmas stamps are stored in a LARGE tubby all year long and they only see daylight for about a month every year. I do not live anyplace close to a stamp store so most of them were purchased years ago ~ thus the tried and true stamp.
For this card I used the snowman stamp from A Country Welcome and stamped it in black ink. I colored it with pencils and used Stickles for the "snow" and "stars". I layered that on Chocolate Chip CS. Along the right side I used my deckle scissors and on the left side I made a bow with the satin ribbon. On the Purely Pomegranate base I stamped swirls from Heidi Grace.

I hope that you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them for you. I will post more later today, so come back!!

Another Christmas Card

Ok, another Christmas card. I have my limit already, but I just cant stop!!! I got my order in from SU! the other day and got their really GREAT satin ribbon. It is a lot bulkier than what I am used to, but it is gorgeous!! I got the Chocolate Chip and the Purely Pomegranate.... So, yes, being on the blue and brown kick I'm on (thanks to Gabby at Confessions of a Stamper) I had to make this card.
I ran across a stamp set that I had in a drawer the other day that I have not seen in ages. I bought this set years ago when I was still in California. It is by Stampendous and it is Fluffies the Cat. So, I thought he was a little goofey and I had to make it. The BG paper I also found in one of the scrap drawers I have - and it was already cut! heck, the card was almost made :) I did however chalk the snowflakes on the BG paper so match the colors...
I colored Fluffies with pencils and Gamsol (something that I LOVE to use). I highlighted his hat with Stickles, layered it all, added the bow and POOF! all done.
I sure hope that you all are enjoying my creations. It brings me pleasure to be able to create and share with everyone.
Please tell me how you think that my blog is going so far by leaving a comment. Maybe there is something that you would like to see from me, just ask.
Also, thanks ONCE AGAIN to my dear friend Gabby for the help I should hope to have things up and working soon to bring you all sketch challenges.
Have a great Day!!

I'm on a roll

I've been wanting to make these for a long time, I have just not found the paper clips. So the other day on my trip to Walmart they finally had them in. I knew that I should of bought more than one package :(

So I punched out all the peices ~ and let me tell you, if hands can get out of shape mine are for sure! I was cramped, and there are only 15 paper clips!!!

Any way, sitting there after dinner watching TV I put these together. Super, super easy!!! I had my DD (who these are for. I'm making them to go in some bag's I'm making for her friends for Christmas) pick out the paper.

Supplies:
Creating Keepsakes DP
Flower by Studio G - Clear Stamps
SU! Rose Red Ink
Brad
Glue Dots Paper Clips

Talk about a quick and easy project!!! I'm going to buy more paper clips before they are gone!!

Smore's Anyone???

Hello everyone, welcome back!! I wanted to post this card for you all to enjoy. It is a stamp that I've had for years and I can't help myself to make it each Christmas. It is from Darcies. Every year I enjoy making cards that are away from the traditional red and green ~ so that's where the blue and brown come in. I colored the image with my pencils and Gamsol. Part of the band of the hats are colored with my SU! pens, as well as the beaks of the little guys. I then sponged around the outer edges of the images with bashful blue, as well as the "photo corners". I mounted the images on to chocolate chip CS, then on to bashful blue. I then added the photo corners.

I am a bit frugal (maybe it is the time of year when I'm saving for Christmas) but I can't see spending the $$$ right now on the photo corner punch. So what I do is take a scrap peice of paper and cut it to a one inch square. I then cut that on the diagonal. Holding the 2 peices together I snip out a peice from the center and use those as photo corners. Hey, it works for me!!

These are then added on top of BG paper that I purchased in a stack from Walmart. I added stickles to the "marshmellow" center and some on the puff's of the hats and Viola! All done.

How many of you are done with your cards? I vow each year to start early (just like shopping) and it never happens. But, heck. I just cant get into the holiday spirit in August...

Have a happy day!

Hugs,
Joani

For Gabby's Challenge-My Blue Christmas

Once again I am plugging my girl Gabby's blog, Confessions of a Stamper. She is having a blog candy challenge (which I hope to have soon???-depending on all of you). She is just asking that you follow her guidelines.
I must appologize, but my sorting of paper is in a transition right now. I do know that the CS is SU! however, most of the colors are just in drawers not sorted. But otherwise, here is the recipie:
SU! Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip.
Paper Salon polka dots & Walmart Chunky stack BG paper.
Ornaments by Great Impressions, stamped in black and colored with pencils and Gamsol.
Christmas Greetings by Hero Arts.
1 3/8" 1 1/4" 1" Circle punches.
34 guage wire.

I hope you enjoy!! Thanks for looking

A little About me...

I "found" this on a blog that I visit each day - Heather's {Witty Title Here} blog and thought that you might want to know a couple of things about me before I get started on the road to blog-dom.... I'm hoping to get going on a project to show everyone today - as long as I can get off the computer...

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose? I think it would probably be 1/2 and 1/2. I have so much paper, but you can never have enough....

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rub-ons, which would you choose? Stamps of course!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do? Probably just cards. That's where my passion started ~ so I have to be true to it :)

4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home? I have a craft room at home, so I must say own a SB store ~ that's always been a dream of mine. Of course I'd probably go broke because I'd use all the product myself!!!

5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style? I really don't have a particular style. I just sit and whatever comes to mind I do.

I also want to give a HUGE thanks to my dear friend Gabby at Confessions of a Stamper who has helped me so much in the making of this blog. Please, if you have not gone to her blog and check it out! She is the bomb baby!!! Gabby, much thanks ~ love ya!!!
