Good Sunday Morning to you all!!

Well, this morning I've been up and out already and started another project!!

I've got to get started on my Valentines cards, but first I've got to get just the right birthday card made for a dear friend of mine that is in California. I want to make a special one for her.

I started with this card. Of course, it's actually one of my favorite sets. But it just did not turn out the way that I wanted it to. I was trying to make a "kickstand" card (and it's the newest challenge on SCS right now) and then with a spinner also. That did not work. So, the kickstand card will have to wait. As a matter of fact, I think that this card will go in the "stash" pile and I will try a different one. But here goes the recipie for this card.
The card itself is Old Olive. Then I layered a peice of Pretty in Pink and a peice of Petals & Paisley DP. I so wish that I would of ordered more of that before it retired! Anyway, I stamped the chef from Voila and only colored his jacket in. I then paper peiced the hat and pants with the opposite side of the BG paper used on this card. I then glued him to the card.
I punched a hole with my 1 3/8" circle hold punch and taped a peice of floss to the center of it. I then punched two 1 1/4" circle's with my punch and on one side stamped the cake from Computer Quips (the cake from the Voila set is much too big) on one side and a sentiment on the other. I then attached each to each side of the floss to create the "spinner" peice. It's actually a very easy card to make. Take a look at the instructions from SCS.
I then used stickles on the cake to create some sparkle and sponged Pink Passion around the edges of the card for some more depth. Like I said, I'm not too happy with the outcome, but it's another card for the stash box.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Joanie
This chef reminds me of the movie Ratatoulie (spelling?) that I just watched with my grandkids. So cute, sorry I never bought this set for myself.
