My Stationary Box

Howdy and almost Happy Friday!  I was going thru my memory card this afternoon and I thought that I shared this with you and have not yet, so here goes.  A few weeks back (maybe longer) SCS had a tutorial on how to make these ~ and I had seen them around the web and just never taken the plunge, so here I went.
I used some DP from SU! called Sending Love.  It's no longer available.  I believe it was out of a mini a while back.  I also used Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink.  The stamp set that I used was Joyce's when she was here (thank you!) called Elements of Style.  I stamped it up with the colors Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink and Close to Cocoa.  I used my scallop square, small oval, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches and my Martha Stewart cornice punches.
I also stamped the lower right corners of the cards with the sentiment.  I used Close to Cocoa on the Pretty in Pink cards and white ink on the Chocolate Chip cards.  For such a pretty set I had to stamp the envies to match.
I just love this stamp set ~ look at how pretty the 3 x 3 note cards turned out.  And the tags, those are pretty too.  I think that I'd have to stamp some wrapping paper or bags to coordinate with the tags, don't you?
One thing that I did differently was the little book on the inside.  I took some paper to cut and fit inside.  But, I wanted something a little more sturdy so instead of using brads I punched holes thru the whole book with the paper included and used small eyelets.  I think that it holds the paper better.  And look at the little pocket for the stamps.  The little pearls in the corner, dainty isn't it?  But keep your postage close, I heard that the post office is going to raise the price of stamps yet again!!

And don't forget to add a beaded pen to your box.  You can't make out the cards and envies without one.  Did you notice the cute little crochet flower on the box lid front?  Mom was experimenting with her flowers a while back and she made that one.  I had to grab it up and keep it.  Of course, it was pink and brown.  But when I was putting the box together I thought that it would be perfect so I used it.

That's all I've got for now.  Thanks for stopping by.  And leave me a comment and let me know if you like it.

WOW! I'm speechless. This is GORGEOUS!!! Maybe one day when I feel like a good challenge, I will make an attempt at this. Show-stopper, for sure.

Joani, this is gorgeous! Great job. Just one question--what did you use for the "heavier cardstock" per the instructions on SCS? I saw it on there & thought about doing it, but was unsure about what they used. By the way, I don't live very far from you, in Robertson County.

I have seen these around, too, but haven't taken the time to make one. Yours is so pretty! I think this would make great gifts for college students, especially those who are leaving home for the first time!
