Good Morning

Good morning everyone! It's such a pretty day - FREEZING cold - but pretty. Like my Dad used to say "It's so pretty out, I think I'll leave it out". Sometimes I did not get what he said, but his comments always stuck with me.
I thought I'd show you my swap cards I did for Easter. I had to do 13 of them. Not too bad (I actually did 14) just a lot of cutting here and there. And of course 1/2 way thru I thought "why did I do this". Sometimes I don't think before I start something.
The base card is Summer Sun. I layered it with Orchid Opulence and Certainly Celery. The DP was from Reminisce, I used both sides of the paper. It was from last year, I'm not sure if you can get it any longer.

I stamped the chicks from Penny Black and colored them in with pencils and gamsol. I stamped the little chick and egg from SU! A Good Egg and colored him with pencils, gamsol and my SU! marker. I layered them on to Orchid Opulence. Before I attached the chick I adhered a length of pink ribbon under it. For the chick and egg I used my super and mega oval punches. I stamped the chick and egg again and cut out just the egg part and used a pop dot to adhere it to the card ~ to make it look like he was just hatched. Not too many steps, but just a lot of cutting.

I want to show you what I'm working on now.

I hope to show you what I'm working on tomorrow. I've got a doctor appointment early in the morning so I'll try to post it before.

Also, there was someone who left a comment on here about the tension on my sewing machine. I hope to play with that today and see if it works. Thanks whoever you were. You didn't leave your name.

Have a great day!
Hugs,

Joani

  8. Now I can see your blog. It took some time for it to load apparently was all. I barked too soon, false alarm. I love the way you displayed the mini catalog as your SLIDE entry. Great idea.
