Something that I have to share...

As I sit here almost in tears, I am reading an e-mail forward that my Cousin sent to me. It is beautiful. I do not normally post things like this, but this was to nice not to share. Besides, I think that with my dear daughter's 16th birthday approaches I am getting a little misty...

Please read and enjoy...

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck

(Written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

  • I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
  • I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
  • I would have talked less and listened more.
  • I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded
  • I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
  • I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
  • I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
  • I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
  • I would have sat on the lawn! With my grass stains.
  • I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
  • I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
  • Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
  • When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later. Now go get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's; more 'I'm sorry's.'
  • But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it. Live it and never give it back.
  • STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF!!! Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what. Instead; let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.
  • Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with, and what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. I hope you have a blessed day.

Now get off the computer and hug the one's that you love.

Happy Hump Day :)

Hello there everyone! I just thought that I would pop in and post what I was up to yesterday.

I am in a swap where I have to make a Criss Cross card. One of my favorites, but I tend to sometimes get a little carried away and use too many embellishments and then I have trouble mailing them. This time I think I'll be ok. For those of you who don't know or have not tried a Criss Cross card you've got to check out the awesome tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here. It's another of Beate's tutorials and she's just so awesome she'll blow your hair back. If you've never been to her blog you need to run there NOW! Ok, back to the card....

For the base card I used Real Red. I then layered the left triangle with Wild Wasabi and white cs that I stamped the bamboo on from Hero Arts. The right triangle I layered a piece of Yuzen Washi paper from The Paper Palette. I colored the bamboo in with my SU! Watercolor crayons. For the belly band I just used a piece of gold cs and tied a length of black organdy ribbon around it. I layered a Real Red scallop circle and a 1 3/8" circle punch. I stamped the image from my TAC™ set Friendly Greetings. That was the SOTM and it's adorable.

Inside I stamped the coordinating word 'good luck' on white paper that I layered onto gold cs. For the "pull tab" part at the top I stamped one of the images hats and cut it out - I thought it was kinda cute. The card really did not take too long to make, and like I said before the Criss Cross cards are fun!

Here's another card I made yesterday. I really don't have any idea why I made it, but I have it in case I need one.....

For the base card I used Chocolate Chip paper. I layered it with a piece of DP from theangelcompany™ Rustic Chic collection. That's another fun pad of paper. I've found that it coordinates with everything.

I stamped the little chick from Hey Chick collection, colored it with pencils and punched it out with my 1 3/8" circle punch. I then took out my Circle Sampler collection and stamped a circle and punched it out with my scallop circle punch. Once I had that adhered together I had no idea what to do with it!! So I sat and thought for a minute and decided to cut a hole right thru the front of the card. I pulled out my coluzzle and cut a circle just a little bigger than the scallop punch. I then adhered the image inside the card.

Still sitting there not knowing what to do next - I thought I'd stamp the words "hey Chick" from the set and use my word window punch to punch it out. Then what!?! I took my round tab punch and punched out a piece of Chocolate Chip cs and layered the word window punch on top of it. Still looking plain, I added a piece of brown ribbon under it, flipped up the ends to make hoops on each side and added brads thru it.

For such a simple card it gave me trouble. Sometimes simple is not easy....

I'm not the type of person to push anything on anyone ~ but I just want to remind everyone that we are in the final day of the "double rewards" benefits that theangelcompany™ company is offering. I know that I'd like to know of any cool specials or deals that someone is having. Actually, it does not take too much to enable me :)

I also would like you to know that I will always list to the left of my blog the specials and deals that theangelcompany™ is always having. If you ever have any questions please feel free to contact me, I'm always here.

Well everyone, have a super great day! And happy crafting.

Good morning everyone. I'm back with a couple of cards to show you.

This first card I made is for a swap that I am in. It is the cowboy/cowgirl swap. I used one of my new TAC™ sets called Wild West. This set is so darn adorable that I want to make so many cards with it ~ but what to do with the cards? I don't know anyone who has a little boy. Well, it's a dilemma I'll deal with :)

The base card itself is Chocolate Chip. I layered Close to Cocoa and a piece of DP from the TAC™ Rustic Chic collection (yes, another favorite!!). I also used Creamy Caramel paper too. I stamped the little guy and cactus and colored them with pencils and gamsol. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the layers and adhered it to the card. The words 'wild wild west' were stamped and cut out on an angle and sponged also to make it look a little rustic. Get it, rustic ~ rustic chic? oh whatever.... I then stamped the star and horseshoe from the set, colored those and cut them out. I adhered them to the card with pop dots. I also used some stickles on the stars to make them pop! Something looked a little off so I made a photo corner from the leftover pieces and tied a small scrap of ribbon to it and I was complete.

Another swap that I am in is "over, under, in, on or around the sea". I chose under for this one.
I pulled a set out and dusted it off that has not been used in forever! My DD had wanted the Fintastic SU! set long ago. Well, she does not stamp with us anymore so it gets no use. Even if she did I'm sure she would not use it because "she's grown up" now ~ or at least she thinks it.
The base card is Bordering Blue and I layered it with Old Olive and DP from K & Company. The images are from SU! Fintastic and the fish is actually from Fishy Friends. I colored all the images in with my SU! Watercolor Crayons. I'll tell you the Blush Blossom crayon is the best for skin color. I so wish that they sold those individually because I'd buy a whole box of those so I would not run out!!!
Once I was done with the coloring and the card was all layered I added a 3/4" circle to the upper left of the image panel with a scrap piece of ribbon thru it. I "hand" stitched a border around the edge with my gel pen and then added color here and there with various color stickles.
I hope this goes over well.
You all have a wonderful day ~ let's see some crafty creations.

Well hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know that I did. I'm sorry that I did not post all weekend, but it was simply too beautiful to stay indoors!

The weather report called for rain on Saturday and Sunday. Well, we only got a little rain Sunday evening ~ which turned out perfect.

Hubby's been getting the ground ready for a garden and he's been like a little boy! We purchased our home 2 years ago this August, so we've been slowly doing things to fix it up. Well this year we've got a lot planned.
We built an overhang going out the back door last year and this year we are going to paint it. Yes, we should of last year but there was so many other things we wanted to do. So we are going to paint that and hang some more lights. It's dark at night when I let the dog out (she's worse than a baby. She gets me up at least twice a night to go out - it's no wonder I only fell down the stairs once!!!) so we are putting lights up out there. I love to sit outside when the evening is nice under the patio lights. I've already bought chairs to match the paint. And hubby's going to make some borders to put around the sun room's windows that we will paint to match. There I go again --- the choo-choo jumped the track again!!
The garden, yes. That's what I was talking about. Well, we have this long stretch out back of just house wall. Well sitting there talking the other night I mentioned that it would be nice to have a flower bed there too. The flowers would give a little "pretty" to the long stretch of house. And we have the A/C unit outside which is ugly itself. So yesterday hubby made a flower bed for me. Well, he framed it in and we went and got a trailer load of dirt. It's going to be nice. I so want to have everything up and going for when our dear friend from California comes to visit. It's only a couple of weeks away!!! There is so much to do ~ but she's not coming to see the house, she's coming to visit us. But I still want it pretty! I will post pictures as soon as the flowers are planted.
Ok, enough ramble ramble. On to the card.

As I mentioned I really did not get too much done this weekend ~ but I did manage to make a card for the challenge over at SCS. I love their weekly challenges and card sketches. I truly have learned a lot from there. There are no stamp shows or stores around here like when I was in California, so I rely on learning all the new things from SCS.

So you must go there to see what new ideas they are cooking up. This one is called the Tri Fold pocket card. Go here for the directions, I'd love to see your version.

I have no stamps to share with you on this card, but look at the paper. Isn't it yummy!!! It's from theangelcompany™ and it's their Juliette collection. It's one that I've got to buy more of!!
So I just followed the directions of Beate's tutorial and used the Juliette paper and that was it! It was really an easy card to make. Of course like Beate said make a template if it's one that your going to make more of! OH!! And the flowers, I used my EK Success and Friskars punches to make the flowers so they'd match.

This is a picture of the insert for the card.

Well - I'm off for now. I've got some blog surfing to do since I missed everything this weekend!

Have a super great day!!!

I thought I'd share....

Today I thought that I'd share with you the RAK card that I received from Tracy over at Stamping Seasons. I got this card a while back from her. Her and I decided to swap catty's. She sells SU! in New Zealand and thought that it would be nice to swap catty's for a different perspective on the inspiration we might get from it. Let me tell you, the SU! New Zealand catty is awesome!!

There are some sets in there that were discontinued from our catty a while ago. And as far as the items for inspiration ~ well they are somewhat different too. There are things in our SU! catty that they have in the New Zealand one but with a different twist. I can tell you that I keep it right next to me along with my SU! catty and my TAC catty. When I need a quick boost of inspiration it is at arm's length to grab for.

I've been busy with making paint cans and bottles that I've neglected the swaps I am in. I still have time before the deadline, but I like to get them done right away.

Here is the first swap cards that I made. These are for an Animal ATC swap that I'm in. Now, a fish is an animal, right? Well it is for this swap :)

I used my new theangelcompany™ stamps for these. Of course the paper is from whatever I had laying around. I did not get a picture of it but the back of the doggie ATC has dog bone paper!

These next ATC's are for a bird swap that I'm in. It's hard to tell, but the flamingo's are colored with my twinkling H2o's. I actually had to dust those off I've not used them in so long!!

The flamingos are from a SU! set that I have ~ I think it was called Tickled Pink. The other ATC is made with my TAC™ set called Hello There. She's adorable, isn't she? I wanted to run a funky border of stitching around the edge and my sewing machine thought that it was a good time to have the tension not work. So I kinda played it off and ran it around 2 times to make it look like I meant to do that!??! I guess it still turned out ok.... I hope!

This last card I made was for the SC172 over at SCS. I am a week late, but at least I tried. Today I am going to try to make SC173. So I'm not that behind....
For this card I used my TAC™ set Ice Cream. I think that this little girl is adorable!!! And the paper used was from the TACCatelynne collection. I just pieced it together like a quilt. The little tab on the side has the word "hello" from the Just Giggle Hostess set. I think that it turned out pretty cute. I am actually sending this card off as a RAK to someone across the pond. Let's see how long it takes to get there...
I hope that you all have a super great crafty day!!
Hugs,

Good Morning Everyone. Sorry I've not been around too much, but as you knew I've been busy.

I thought that I'd post a picture of something that I was doing that is not related to the paint cans, first.

On my MSN site I've got a swap due for ATC cards. The theme is "seasons" so I thought what better set to use than the SU! set "Window on the World". To be honest I really don't think that I've used all the stamps in that set.

Ok, and yes ~ I did make more paint cans. Just 2. My SIL came over the other day and took one so I had to make another to put back....

But I made only 2. Really. I'm now done with my rack of stuff. I will take a picture later to show you the display. I've got a doctor appointment late today but hopefully I can get it over there and set up tonight. Can you tell I'm really excited??

Of course like a I said before all the items on the cans are pulled from just about everyplace, but I can tell you that the paper on this can is from the Anna Griffin collection. I used to buy a lot of her papers, they are so elegant.

I'm sure that many of you might notice this paper and stamp set. It is SU! and it is from last year I believe ~ the petals & paisley set. I got it out of the spring mini. Well I was going to put some pink grosgrain ribbon on the can and I noticed some ribbon that I had with the little dots that matched the paper on the can perfectly so I had to use it.

These are really all the cans that I have left. Now maybe I can get back to normal. If only I knew what normal is!??!

I hope to get a few things done today that I will share with you later. I've got a doctors appointment late today - and I'm waiting patiently (ok, not really) for Mr. Brown to bring my package of goodies from theangelcompany™. I see the truck in the neighborhood all the time early mornings and afternoons, but when I'm expecting something he does not come til dinner time. Why is that??? I'm like a cat on a hot tin roof waiting. I try not to think about it, but I keep looking out the front window - ALL day long. I think that they know that, that's why they don't come til late. Ugh....

And just a little reminder that there is only 6 more day's left for the Double Rewards promo that the Angel Company is having. Now's the time to place that order for double rewards like double hostess sets and double the 1/2 off item savings!!! So if you'd like to get in on those savings now's the time to do it. Contact me if you'd like more info.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day! I will be back tomorrow with more (No, not paint cans) but more of something :)

Just a few more, I promise!!!

Just a few more paint cans, I promise. I've got 6 total so I should only be making one more today. These are what I worked on yesterday. I hopefully will get these to the mall tonight then I don't have to worry for a while. Then I can go back to some cards for a while.

I did place and order last night with theangelcompany™ for some other items to alter. They have lots and lots of stuff in the catty to play with. I can't wait!!! Just stretching my "wings" so to speak :)

I have used so many supplies on these cans that my head spins just thinking about it.

I can tell you that they stamps are from SU! and the paper is from TAC™ and SU! Most of the ribbon is from Walmart and the flowers are from all over! For the Father's day can I used my punches from Marvy and friskars to make those and the little circles are made with a 1/2" circle punch.

So for today this is all. I hope that I've not bored you with the same thing for a couple of days. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back to creating other things besides paint cans.
Thanks for stopping by though!

Busy busy busy!!

I just thought that I'd show you what I've been up to this past weekend.

I've been busy making things to sell if you remember at a local Peddler's Mall. Well, so far I've got cards, small notebooks, post it note holders, pens and paintcans. I feel that there is still something missing - something more that I want to make, but I just cant put my finger on it. Of course it will come to me after I take this stuff down and put it in the booth.

These are some if the post it note holders and the notepads that I did. They of course have matching pens with them. For the bag toppers I am going to try my first attempt at making my own rub-ons. I think that I might put something like "a little gift from me to you" on the top. Or something to that effect.

There is so many different papers that I have used it's not funny. So I'm sorry if I can't list everything. BUT, I can tell you that the little notebook right here with the word "notes" in white and the one on the top picture in the middle have the papers used from the Catelynne collection from TAC™. That's one of my favorite papers I think.

Another of my projects was to do some paint cans. I will let you know that the cheapest place I've found paint can's are at Sherman Williams. They are just up the street from me. They are only $1.60 per can for the quart cans. I know the last time I looked at Lowe's they were $3.00 each!!

I wanted to show you an up close look at this can. I "colored" in the image with stickles. I thought that it gave it a cute little touch. The bee on the lid also has stickles on his wings ~ but the picture does not show it. I think I need a new camera.

Here's a look at the front's of the paint cans. I love the brads with the crystals in them ~ I don't use them too much on my cards because they stick out so much and I'm afraid of sending them thru the post office. I know to mark "hand cancel" on them but sometimes they still get damaged.

Well, I hope that you like what you see and I hope that it inspires you to create something nice today. I'm off to create!
More tomorrow.

This is what I've been up to....

As you can see I've been a little busy ~ sorry for not posting.

If you remember there was a lady that my hubby works with that wanted some graduation cards for her daughter. She finally told me what she wanted. I was kind of thankful that she wanted this card because I think it was the easiest :)

Between running upstairs to jump on the Internet and see what's what, doing dinner & laundry I finally got these done. They are having a graduation party for her and these are actually invitations to the party. She wanted this poem to go inside the card and instead of "the tassle's worth the hassle" on the front she wanted "shelby's big day" so those two things I printed off the computer. It made it a little easier I think.

The hat and diploma stamp on the card is from Angi-b. They were going out of business and I scored on the set for only $10.00. Not bad, and I really don't have any graduation sets - and I'll be needing one myself in just two years!! The cap that I stamped on the envie is from Clear Dollar Stamps and was pretty cheap too. If you'd like to go to Angi-b click here to go to the site. She actually has quite a few sets left at only $10.00 each!

I wanted to package them and not just toss them in a bag so I put them together with the envelopes in a clear bag and made a quick bag topper. I hope that she likes them, I'm sure she will.

I've got another project to do. I'm making something for a weekly challenge over at Paper Wings. So maybe I won't sit on the computer all day today :)

Hope you have a great day ~ and happy stamping!

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

This is a taste of spring!! We have a tree out front that is just so pretty I had to get a picture. We've got lots of birds here too, and they love to sit in the tree and sing. There are a couple of what I call dumb birds that sit in there also. The bird sits there and flies into the window all day long. We hear this "thump, thump" constantly. Some say that they are seeing a reflection of the tree in the window and they are trying to land on a branch. I think that he see's the curtain rod and thinks it's some kind of a perch to land on. Either way you think the poor little thing would have a headache by now ~ he's been doing it for almost 2 weeks!!!

Enough of that. I wanted to show you what I was up to yesterday. I'm making the frapp bottles to (hopefully) sell at the Peddler's Mall. Well yesterday in between this and that's and such I made 8 of them. Tell me what you think. I'm not sure of what to sell them for. I'm starting the cards at $1.50 which I think is way too reasonable. But things just don't sell here like they did in California. I was thinking maybe $2.00 for the bottles. How about you? What do you think? And no, I did not drink all this. My DD takes them to school each day, so as you can see I've been saving them up.

There is so much to list of products used that I can't list it all! I can tell you that all the paper that was used was from either theangelcompany™ or from SU! The ink is all SU! inks. The ribbon is mostly from Walmart. There was eyelets used from various vendors. I used my SU! Scallop punch for the tops along with my 1 3/8" circle punch and on some the 1 1/4" circle punch also. I used my designer tag punch and the 3/4" circle punch on some. I pulled out the coluzzle and used that for some of the bottle fronts, some I used the tags that came in the paper pack from TAC™.

Here are the same bottles but with a view of the top. I kinda wanted to glue some buttons or something on some of the tops. They kinda look a little plain. But then I love the paper and did not want to hide that.

Here's a picture of the other set that I did. Yes, same as the top - all SU! or TAC™ supplies. I hope that they are a selling item.
I thought about filling them - but I know that if I bought something like this I would not want the candy that's in it. I know, a little weird but you just don't know people these days. So I was thinking of maybe running some paper thru the shredder. I've got some "less than quality" paper and construction paper that I could use to fill them. Maybe even tissue paper. Just something to dress up the empty bottles.
Well - thanks for listening to me ramble on. I tend to do that sometimes. I've got to think about what I should create today. Hmmm, let's see... Whatever it is I'm sure you'll see it tomorrow!

Another day, another card. I had some extra groups that I filled in for swaps on my MSN site so I had to make more cards.

This was a quick and simple one since I had to make up for another group too. This card was for a season's swap. Well to be honest Fall is my favorite time of year. The chill in the air, the leaves turning colors. Time to pull out the sweatshirts and blankets. I just love fall. So I used a fall stamp for this swap.

The set was a SU! set called Sweet Seasons. I stamped the image and used my SU! watercolor crayons. One of my favorite things to use is pencils but this comes in at a close second. The base card is Old Olive. I layered a piece of Chocolate Chip cs that I distressed the edges and tied a length of orange and brown ribbons to. I then took the image panel and layered that on to a piece of So Saffron. Before I did this I used my scor-pal and "boxed" in the edges. I then sponged some Chocolate Chip ink around the layer and then adhered it to the card. So simple & quick and easy.
Remember when I mentioned that I was going to be selling some items at the local Peddler's Mall? Well I ran across a dilemma of how to put the items in the booth. The lady that's allowing me to use her space said that she was going to bring a shelf for me to use, but it would not fit in her car. Well hubby and I have been looking around for something to use. I wanted to be able to put some paint cans & frapp bottles there too. Maybe some other goodies. And I did not want to take up too much space or block her items. Well then I saw it! This little rack just sitting there waiting for me to buy it! I think it's adorable. The shelves move around so I can adjust the sizes.

So now I am off to work to make things to fill it in! I've already got quite a few cards, but I want more than that. I've been buying my daughter the 4 packs of Starbuck's drinks - now I've just got to go to the paint store and get some cans!!

Before I head off I just wanted to remind everyone that there is only a couple of weeks left of the April promo at theangelcompany™ to receive double rewards. If you place an order (or have a FUNshop) of at least $100.00 you will receive double rewards. That means not just one but 2 hostess set's free, and not just three but 6 Gift with Purchase stamps free!! But that's not all! You will receive not only one but TWO 1/2 off items from the catty! Now's a good time to get that Scor-pal or Bind-it-all machine. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Well I'm off for another day of creativity. Let's see what I'll come up with ~ how about you?

Spring Dreams ~ on a gloomy day

Oh the day's have been so pretty and today is gloomy. Where did our pretty spring weather go? I guess I'll have to craft mine myself!

For this card I used my Spring Dreams TAC™ set. It's full of these cool funky flowers & swirls. A must have I say :)

I first stamped the swirl on the Garden Green card base with my Garden Green pad. I then layered a piece of Wild Wasabi paper with a piece of DP from the Cha Cha collection. All the DP on this card is from that collection. I sponged some Only Orange ink around that panel. I then took another piece of DP and made the scor marks from my Scor-Pal on it, sanded it with my block then sponged some Lovely Lilac ink around those edges. I layered that to a piece of Wild Wasabi paper and adhered it to the card. I then stamped the flower image and colored it in with my pencils, sponged Only Orange ink around the edges and layered that on to a piece of Wild Wasabi also.

I then took my 3/4" circle punch and punched out a piece of scrap paper and tied a piece of scrap yellow ribbon thru it. I placed it in the upper right corner then adhered that panel to the card.

I thought it turned out a little funky, but I was looking for something different. I really like how the DP looked after I scored and sanded it. Looks kinda "used".

Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to ~ what have YOU been doing???

You cheer me up, too!

A special thanks to Jean over at It's in the cards! For this lovely award.
There are so many special people that make my day ~ who would of ever known that when I started this blog that I would have this many hits, let alone make so many blogging friends.
I look forward to every day signing in and seeing who's been by to leave a comment or just say 'hi!'.
I cant even begin to say "you cheer me up" or "you make my day" to just a few people. There are so many great people out there that I've met and started friendships with. So if you are here reading this blog consider yourself awarded!
Hugs, Joani

Friendly (muddy) Greetings

Happy Saturday everyone! I thought that I'd post this card this morning because that's what we planned on doing today ~ play in the mud. Ok, well actually we were going to get top soil so we could get ready to start the garden. And yes, flowers too! But no, the weather reporter said that we were going to have some storms and today was supposed to be icky. Well, we cancelled it. Now, as I'm writing this I am looking out the window and the sun is out. There are a few clouds, but nothing that looks bad.

Oh well. Maybe I will get to re-arrange the furniture in the living room? Hmmm. Or maybe just play with my new stamps :)

This card is made with theangelcompany™ Stamp of The Month set Friendly Greetings. I just think that little piggy is so cute! And yes, this was another quick and easy card. The base card is Chocolate Chip. I layered on a piece of Pixie Pink cs and a piece of DP from the Catelynne collection. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around that layer.

I stamped the image and colored him in with pencils and gamsol. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around that and layered that on to another piece of DP from the Catelynne collection. I sponged Chocolate Chip around that layer too! As you can see, I like to sponge the edges. I think that sometimes it just makes the card look finished. The edges don't look just plain. Then I tied some ribbon around that and adhered it to the card.

That's all that I have for today. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! And happy stamping!

Gloomy Friday

Today's a gloomy day. As I am writing this I am looking out the window it's gloomy, rainy and dreary.....

But what else brightens my day but talking to you all and stamping!! So on to the cards :)

I can't get enough of the little cow set's that theangelcompany™ has right now!! They are so adorable.

This card was pretty much a quick and simple one.

The base card is Real Red. I stamped the card with the cow print from An Udder Birthday with my Versamark pad. Then I took a piece of Basic Black, layered the cow print paper that I got years ago from Darcie's, added the red polka dot ribbon and adhered it to the card. I then stamped the little cow and colored it in with pencils. I sponged some Real Red around the edges, layered that on to a piece of Basic Black and glued that to the card. Lastly I stamped the words "an udder birthday" in black ink on the lower right corner and I was finished! See, told you quick and easy...

Here's another card that I've made with my new stamps. This is the Spring Dream set. Kinda funky flowers with that cool paisley print and some awesome swirls!!

The base card is Apricot Appeal. I layered a piece of DP from the Rustic Chic pad that I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. I then took another piece of DP from the same collection, sponged around the edges and layered on to a piece of Chocolate Chip cs. Before I added that to the card I added the little tag that say's 'happy birthday' from the Everyday Events set. I used my word window punch to cut out the saying, sponged Only Orange ink around the edges, added an eyelet and threaded some black hemp to attach it to the card. I then stamped the flower, colored it with pencils and sponged around the edges. I layered that on to a piece of Chocolate Chip cs and added it to the card. It was a little different at first, but the more I look at it I think that I like it.

I'm sorry that the word window punch was turned in the picture ~ I actually just noticed that.

I also wanted to share a RAK card that I received from a blogging friend in the Netherlands! You know how cool it is to get mail from far away. I just love to see things that others are doing.

This is from Joan over at Scrapmum. If you have a second take a peek at her blog. It's kinda cool! And it's neat to see how she has it in two different languages!

Thanks a lot Joan, it made my day!!!

OH! And one more thing. You may notice a little box at the bottom of my posts. Well that is something new that I thought I'd try. It's called click comments. You can run your mouse over the icons and click on what you think. It's something faster if you are not feeling like leaving a comment. Just something that I'm trying for now. Just enlighten me :)

Well, I'm off for now. Gonna go play with some stamps and then head off to the doctor ~ Mom's got another appointment. She's got arthritis in her hand and really does not know how much longer she may stamp with me ;(

Have a super day! It is what you make it!!!
