Happy Friday!

I can not beleive that next week is Christmas!  Where the heck did the time go to?  I'm not ready for the year to end and the next to start.  My little girl will be leaving us for college soon.  I so have to get started on all that.  But seriously, when did she grow up?  When did I get all this grey from?

I've been working on some more Christmas cards ~ wanna see?

One of my favorite stamp companies is Darcie's.  I used to love to go to the shows in CA and pick up their images.  I've got quite a few of them - Danielle has quite a few of them too.  And this little guy is one of them.  They used to sell their UM stamps that were "seconds" in a bin and most of them were $1.00!!  I can hardly ever see the "ooops" on them - can you??

I wrote down the recipie for this card and now I can't find it ~ sorry.  I know that the base card is Garden Green and that I used Chocolate Chip and Garden Green nesties but I cant remember the name of the DP.  It is SU! but I just don't remember which collection it was from, sorry.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place it so I could use my oval punch on it and I punched a piece of Garden Green with my Super Jumbo Marvy punch.  I also added some fun flock to the hat for a little added touch! I guess I do remember more than I thought, huh?

I'm off to make a few more things for Danielle to hand out.  I've still got to shop for hubby - all else is done.

I hope that you all have a great day!

Stationary Sets

Remember a while back the stationary set's that I made ~ we'll I made more.  I made them for the ladies at my Mom's eye doctor's office.  Wanna see?

Remember I found the directions over at Inking Idaho.  I can honestly say that they are so easy to make that I almost remember the directions and measurements without looking.

This is one of my favorites with the pale blue and purple.

So, what do you think?

Ok, this one is cute too, isn't it?

They wanted some of Mom's flowers on them.  I added them to the holder instead because we all know about the post office and mailing.  I did not want them to have returned mail because of not enough postage.  Or worse yet, the envie get ripped in the machines and the cards ruined.

So see ~ I have been busy...

Want some digi?

I've been working on other stuff too.  At night to take a break from coloring or cutting or assembly I've been working on some digi pages.  I can get away with it because I've got Danielle's laptop in the living room and all my digi stuff on my thumb drive...

I have no idea why my camera is not working right - it works when it wants to...  But since they were the only pictures I had, I had to use them.  A couple of weeks ago we went to the tree lighting here in town.  We took Dixie with us.  We want to get her socialized so it was a great time!  The tree is always at the court house and here are the before and after pictures.  The picture of Ricky, Dixie and I is a little blurry - but like I said, it's the only pictures I have so I had to use them.  Besides it's in our memories too, right?

Here is a few pictures of us on Thanksgiving.  Silly pictures, but it's all about the memories.

And another with Dixie in the yard.  If anything I hope that me sharing the pages with you gives you some sort of inspiration ~ if not for a digi page then a card front.  I get inspiration from all the strangest things.

More to come later...

This is why I've been gone...

Well, this is part of it.  I've been busy with family and with holiday things.  Not to mention a very curious little puppy.  But I'm happy ~ I knew what was involved in a puppy, and is any time right?  No it's not - but I knew what I was getting into before I brought her home.

She's got so big since I've last posted about her.  She weighs a ton - ok not a ton, but a lot more since the little 4 pound puppy we brought home.

If you are sitting in one of the chairs she will just sit on the floor and stare at you til you get up.  She wants to sit in the chair herself.  Yes, spoiled is the word.  If we had more room she'd probably get her own Lazy Boy for Christmas!

Yes, the ears are hilarious!!  I think that she's taking after the Sheppard more so than the lab, can you tell?  It's funny when she's outside and wants in.  She will be sitting at the door and all you can see are the ears sticking up ~ those are what we call her satellite dishes...

I'll show you each one later...  I'll be back later with more crafty stuff, promise!

Here's what I've been doing...

Yup, I've been busy - even though you can't see it.  I've been creating Christmas cards...  and just yesterday I was told I need to make more.  I was wanting to move on, finish with Christmas but I guess I'm not.

No blah blah blah today ~ let's get right to it shall we.

I just love the SU! stamp Dasher but I'm trying to be thrify and I took a look thru my stamps and I found this one, I know it's not the Dasher stamp but it's close.  It is from Great Impressions.  I know that I list a lot of stamps from them but when we lived in CA our local stamp store always had their stamp of the month and being the good little shopper I (was) am I had to purchase it.

The base card is Riding Hood Red that I layered with grey c/s and Christmas Cocoa DP.  I stamped the snowflakes from Great Impressions also in silver Encore ink on white cs and layered that on to some grey c/s.  I stamped the reindeer image in Going Grey ink, punched it out with my Marvy Giga oval punch and sponged some grey ink around the edges before adhering it to a piece of Riding Hood Red.  I cut out the red panel with my small scallop oval nestie, paper pierced it and sponged some Encore ink around the edge before I layered that on to the card with pop dots.  I added a length of ribbon and adhered the sentiment panel.  On the inside I used grey and white c/s with a piece of the scrap DP and stamped the sentiment from an old D.O.T.S. set in Real Red ink and I was complete.

I will be back later with some more cards if you like.  Have a great Sunday!

Gotta show off my can's

As I sat at my table the other day I knew that I needed to make a couple of paint cans - it was just hard to get started.  If you have not altered a paint can it is the easiest thing in the world to do.  I just think that I lost my mojo...

I've had some family issues that I've been dealing with and I think that it has helped drain my mojo.  But I didn't give up and it finally came to me.

Mom and I just purchased the large snowflake punch from SU and we love it!  I just have to think of other ways to use it during the year.

So you like?  I used my SU! set Frosty.  That set is a classic, I always go to it when I start a Christmas project.  The paper is from Bo Bunny and it is Cherry Pie Stripe and Red Polka Dot.  I used my nesties to cut out the image and the green layer behind it.  The smaller snowflakes are made with the Martha Stewart punch and I added a red sequin in the center.

I took the sentiment and stamped it in Glorious Green and added it to the green layer behind it.  Then I took it and kinda bent it around my fingers.  To get it to keep it's wavy shape I added a layer of pop dots and alternating tape behind it.

Here is the green can that I made.

Same thing, just different.  The paper is also from Bo Bunny.  It is their Classic Christmas Dot and Classic Christmas Stripe.  Same as the other ~ Martha Stewart punch, SU! snowflake punch, nesties...

I did the same with the sentiment.  Some ribbon here and there and I was done.

I've got some Christmas cards in the works ~ I'll be back Monday with those.  Have a great weekend, and I might be back later with a digi page or two.

What a terrible blogger I am...

I should be beat with a wet noodle!  I've been such a terrible blogger lately.  Not that it's holiday related ~ just life and family.  I told hubby last night that I've not really been on the computer since Thanksgiving and I think he almost did not believe me.

I have been working on a couple of things.  Since my time is a little limited I have one ready to show you.

I can not take the credit for this - well, this yes ~ but not the original idea.  I saw this over at Carolina's Creative Pad.  I had made up a bunch of the snowman soups to sell at the bazaars and they were not as popular as I thought.  So I pulled them apart (which is a hard thing to do when you've put time into a project) and just re-purposed them.

I'm not sure if I read her directions wrong or if I was just confused, but her "cups" open like a regular card from the side.  Mine open from the top down.  Oh well, I think that they turned out adorable.  Let's pray that these may sell...

Other than this I've made a few more things that I still have to picture.  I hope to be back tomorrow to do that.  We are going to be putting up the tree this weekend.  And Danielle went to an interview the other day and she got a job.  Nothing major, but she's been wanting to get a job for a long time now and you've got to be 18 to work at most places here in town - at least every place she's tried to apply.

That's what I've been up to.  What have you been doing?

Have a great day!  I'll be back tomorrow, I promise.
