Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone! I hope that today is a safe and happy holiday for you and your family! I really don't have anything interesting to show you today. For some reason yesterday I sat down and nothing would come out. All of my ideas were blank! I did make a couple of things, but they are not the greatest! I can say though that I got all the laundry cleaned, folded and put away! So at least I did do something.....

My hubby and I did go to Bi-Water farms yesterday afternoon. We went to pet and feed the animals, went on a hay ride and went thru their "haunted" house. It was not a totally wasted day. I did get a pumpkin there. Most of their pumpkins were too darn expensive! So we thought that we would leave there and go to the store. We went to 4 different places last night and not one store had pumpkins. I know, I waited too long to get one ~ it was my own fault. But I did get a cool one at the patch. I will take a picture and show you, it was too late last night to do that. It is a tall, skinny one with warts! It's so cool - I can't wait to carve it!
Ok - enough of that. Here's what I did yesterday.
I'm in a swap that I needed to make a card with a snowman or snow flakes. Something snowy. I just got this set from TAC and I love it, so of course I had to use it! The base is Real Red. I layered papers from TAC's Reese paper collection on it-don't you love that paper?? and Chocolate Chip cs. I then used my Mega and Giga Scallop Square punches for the image. I punched out a piece of Glorious Green to layer under the image.

The snowman is colored with pencils, gamsol and markers. You can't really tell in the picture but the background of the picture is done with stickles to make it look all glittery like snow. I used some organza ribbon on it and I was done. I think they turned out kinda cute.
I also pulled out an old SU! set called Times and Seasons. I thought that I might make a quick Thanksgiving card. Well, like I said earlier ~ I must have the dauber downs because it was not quick and it lacked imagination.

And for some reason my camera was not taking a good picture either. Everything glared. Hey! Maybe I need a new camera? Hell-o!! Hubby, Christmas is almost here Ü

I really love this old set. It's one of my favorites! Maybe because I love Fall, I don't know. And I love to watercolor it too! When I watercolor I take all my colors out at once. And I have a napkin ready to swipe the color off the brush and go to the next color.
When I watercolor I also don't like to color with the crayon and use the brush. I touch the brush to the crayon and use it like that. I do the same when I use my watercolor pencils. I touch the tip of the pencil with the brush and then go to the paper.

That way I feel like I have more control over the color. I'm sure that everyone has their own way of doing things ~ this is just the way that I do it.
Well - today I'm not even sure that I will get anything done - If I do I will be sure to post it.
Have a great Halloween! And be safe.
Hugs,
Joani

Happy Almost Friday!

Woo Hoo! Another day closer to the weekend. And another day closer to Halloween!! Everyone ready with their sweet treats for the tricksters? Decorations up? Pumpkins carved and seeds roasted? I just love this holiday!!!

Yesterday I was battling with the dauber downs. I just could not get out of my own way. I was in slow motion on extra slow speed. I have no idea why, I just did not feel like doing anything. Then of course after dinner was cleaned up and dishes were done I wanted to stamp, color & create! What the heck? I guess I was in backwards mode yesterday.

I did get a chance to make one card though. I made a card for a swap that I am in. I was a little late, but I've not received any cards from anyone else so I guess I'm fine.

The base of this card was a purple piece of textured cs I found in my drawer. I layered that with Pink Passion and Blush Blossom cs. The DP is from Autumn Leaves that I purchased years ago, the date on it was 2003! and sponged Pink Passion ink around that. I stamped the cake from Whipper Snapper and colored it in with pencils, gamsol and markers. I sponged Pink Passion ink around that too before I placed it on to a piece of Pink Passion cs. I added a length of ribbon and added the image panel with pop dots. Once it was all in place I added some stickles and I was done!

Quick, cute and easy! Sometimes that's the way they have to be!

Well, I'm off. I am going to try to create something today! See you tomorrow!!

Good, um~er, afternoon??

Where does the time go? It's just about noon already. And we are supposed to change our clocks back soon. That will throw me off for about a week or so. Yes, it's Fall back ~ but I'll still be off, especially with it being darker earlier. It will be 6:00pm and I'll think it's time for bed!!!

I did not do much yesterday - but I do have something to show you. I made a Fall card that was a quick and easy one. But I want to show you a little project that I made a couple of months ago and could not show you because it was for Paper Wings.

First the card.

As you all know, I love Fall. So those are my favorite cards to make. But I was antsy yesterday and I just could not sit long enough to do anymore to this card. I had an "alone" day. My Mom went out with my SIL and it was just me and the fur baby all day. But it was one of those do this, do that days. I could not sit still....

I told you that I wanted to show you one of the projects I made for Paper Wings. We are not supposed to show items that we've made for at least 3 months on our blogs ~ so that's why this says Mother's Day on it. But this little box would be fun to make in Christmas colors with a bunch of little tags in it, don't ya think???

I made this for a Mother's Day project. This little box with 6 - 3" x 3" cards and envies. And I just lovethe paper, it's from TAC's Catelyn collection (my FAVORITE by far!!). I know that it's a little hokey - but here is my template. If you click on it you can enlarge it to read it better.

Like I said, if you click on the image it should enlarge for you to read it. I also made ones for my dear friends Joyce and Betty.

I hope you enjoy those. Now, I need to be off to create!
Have a great day!

Howdy Ho Everyone! And some business

Did you make it through the weekend alright? I sure did. It was a beautiful fall weekend! I wanted to go to our local nursery Bi-Water Farm (it's a tradition each year) but I did not make it. I love to go there and see the animals and ride on the hay ride and pick out pumpkins. They even have a store there that sells fruits and veggies. Maybe sometime this week if the weather holds out ~ they say tonight it's supposed to be down to 28 degrees and we might get a flurrie or two Ü

This weekend we were a little distracted and kinda doing our own things. I worked on a project for Paper Wings. I also started a few cards, but did not finish them. I did do something that's been on my list for a while. We are a family of cough'rs... There is always someone who is coughing ~ lots of things here to be allergic to. They say that this is one of the worst places to live because of all the allergens in the air. I would rather all these allergens than the smoke, smog and uck back in California. But anyway, there is always someone with a tickle in their throat. So we buy lots of cough drops. Well, SU! had some paper a while back in a mini that I bought just because of the paper. My kitchen is decorated in apples, so I had to get the apple paper. And I've had this ugly can on the counter for a long time, so I covered it!

I used the SU! paper and some HUGE grosgrain ribbon that I aquired someplace. When I went to Hobby Lobby a while back I got this cool red ruffle ribbon, I had to add that. And for the lid I covered the top with red paper and made my little puff ball.

I take a spiral clip and just keep adding ribbon to it, tying it in knots. Go all the way around the spiral clip. Then I take a big glue dot from SU! (I love those dots) and attach the ribbon puff ball to a big button and that's all. I did take Mod Podge and cover the whole can, ribbon and all to protect it. You never know what might happen in a kitchen!!

Now, for an order of business.

Since The Angel Company has extended their double dip promo I came up with an idea! Well, first let me explain the double dip promo if your new to my blog. The double dip promo is when you hostess a workshop of $100.00 or more you will get not just 1 but 2 half off items from the catty and not just 1 but 2 hostess sets from the Level A sets.

So, the idea? Well, until December 3rd they are having their promo. So if you would like to take part in this, but don't want to spend the full $100.00 to score a workshop I will put together groups of 2 people. You spend only $50.00 (before s/h and tax) you will get 1 half off item and 1 Level A hostess set. How's that? When you think about it you will have a workshop for only $50.00!!!

If you are interested send me an e-mail! I thought that it was a great idea if I say so mself!

I guess I better be off. I've got to do some blog hopping too Ü

Have a great day!
Hugs,
Joani

I did it again!

Yuppers, I made another organizer. This one I made with the traditional Christmas colors or red & green. I made this for my SIL and she's more traditional than I am. I used a paper pack of DP that I purchased last year at Walmart. It has a name on it of Imagine That. It was a great buy for textured double sided cs so I had to get it.

To make this I used a piece of thin cardboard that my hubby brought home. I cut it to the size of 16" x 16". I then scored it at 8" from the top to fold up the flap to make the inside pocket. I turned the sheet 1/4 turn and scored it every 4" to make the folds. I then decorated each "compartment" with a different paper on the inside and outside to keep it festive. All the paper that I used was from that one paper pack ~ it sure made it easy!
For the inserts I went to a site called Organized Christmas. It is a site you will have to check out for sure, there is more than just Christmas there. So many lists and such ~ I could spend all day hunting around there!! But for the lists for this planner you can print them out here. The tabs that are on the planner pages came from some Heidi Grace die cut pages that I have.
I used stamps from all different companies. Great Impressions, Darcies, D.O.T.S., Ann-ticipations and All Night Media. I used whatever I thought that she might like. You cant tell too much by the picture unless you click on it, but I used some glitter on the snowman & mittens and I used some fun flock on the hat for Santa. I'm still debating if I should use stickles on his beard to give it some "umph".
I think that this is the last one that I will make for a while. They are a little time consuming. Oh, they are fun ~ but I'm not getting anything else done doing these. I hope you enjoyed them ~ and I hope that they spark a little holiday spirit in you.
If I don't pop in - have a great weekend!

Here's what I've been doing....

I told you that I was working on something but it was not yet complete. Well, I've completed it!

One of my fellow TAC angels, Vicki ~ had posted this on her blog and when I mentioned to Betty to take a look this is what she wanted to do next time we came over - so here it is. It is a Christmas planner.

Now, my dimensions are a little off of what Vicki did. Betty and I sat there trying to get it to work out right but it didn't. The one I'm working on my for SIL is actually nicer ~ I should show that one to you tomorrow. But that's fine ~ the first of something hardly ever turns out for me. It was my "experimental" one Ü

All you use is a plain file folder. And talk about recycle - I had bills in this one dating back to 1997!! It was time to do some shredding!! This is the front view of the folder with it closed.

This is the view of the folders back side, open. And here is the folder open, showing the inside. For Vicki's directions you can go here. But I basically took the folder and opened it up. I then scored 8" from the top to fold up to make the "pocket". Then each side I scored at 4 1/4" out from the middle of the file folder. The one that I will show you tomorrow is made of the pieces of light weight cardboard. Kinda like the ones you get in a new pack of paper. Hubby brought them home from work - and I just cut it down to a 16" x 16" piece and scored it like the above directions I just gave and it was perfect. With the file folder you have the tabs to contend with ~ They are cute, but the one you'll see tomorrow does not have the tab.As far as the little sheets of paper inside, I printed them off from a site called Organized Christmas. They have lots of little planner helpers there. I'm kinda a list person and if you are to this site is a must!

Now this is not all I've been working on. I had to make a card for a swap I'm in, and I'm afraid that I pushed it to the last minute. I needed to make a double slider card and I thought that a Christmas theme might be cute. Besides, I just got a cute little snowman set that you see on the planner! I had to use it again!!!

This card I made using Lavender Lace, Eggplant Envy & Pale Plum. I stamped the image from my TAC set In The Snow. I was fortunate enough of had the snowflake paper that I ran thru Betty's cuttlebug. I sponged some ink over it to keep with the purple theme. These double slider cards really are very easy to make ~ and I think that I may use this to make some more cards for Christmas.

Well see, I told you that I had some things to show you today. I hope that you like them. I'll be back tomorrow with more!
Have a great day!!!

Joani

Good Morning!

Good morning everyone! I hope that today finds you well. It is a cool, crisp fall morning here. It is actually a little nippy out. I'm thinking a great sweatshirt kind of day! I just love fall!!

I have not finished my project that I was working on yesterday, but I did make a couple of cards that I can show you. As you know there is a lady that my husband works with that lets me put some of my creations at her booth at the Peddler's Mall. Well, I thought that I'd make some Christmas cards for her as a 'thank you' for allowing me to use space in her booth.

I'm kinda a non traditional Christmas color person. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas! But since the stores commercialize it so by putting items out months before they should I get kind of tired of red and green. That's why you'll see lots of other colors from me for the holiday season.

The image stamp is from Great Impressions. The cs colors are Soft Sky (I loaded up on this before it was gone), dark linen blue and silver. I stamped the image with my black ink and colored it in with pens and pencils. I also used my sakura gel pen. The background snowflakes were stamped with my metallic silver pad. I just layered the image on to the different cs and that was all. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Once again the image is from Great Impressions. I've had these stamps quite some time. I purchased them from the local stamp store in California that I used to frequent (oh how I miss that place!!!). They would have these stamp of the month stamps, and of course I had to always be there to purchase them!!

The colors are the same. I stamped the image and colored it in with my pencils and gamsol. Once I colored the image I sponged Brilliant Blue ink around the panel. The background paper is from a paper pack I purchased last year at Walmart. I layered the dark linen blue and Soft Sky paper. I also had some paper that was run thru the cuttlebug in the Soft Sky color that I attached to the card. For the sentiment I stamped the word 'happy' in silver metallic on a piece of Soft Sky that I punched with my tab and attached that under the image panel.

I really hope that she likes the cards that I made for her. It's just a small gesture to thank her for her kindness.

Well ~ I must be off. I've got to finish the project that I started working on yesterday with Betty and Mom. I will show you pictures tomorrow for sure!

Have a great fall day!
Hugs,
Joani

Here's what I've been up to

I thought that I would show you the few pages that I've been up to. I've got so many pictures, and I once made a promise to Danielle that I would have the scrapbooks done by the time she graduates from High School ~ so I better get going. I've only got a year and a half left :)

Once you press play there is a button in the lower left corner that brings you to another page, just click on that to change the pages.

I thought that I'd give smilebox a try. Why not, it's free and easy to use. Hope that you enjoy!

Eeek! I've been tagged

Yuppers, my dear friend Julie tagged me a while back and I am just getting to responding.
I think I may of done this one before, but I can't remember so here goes:

Here are the Rules:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your Blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your Blog...some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their Blogs.
4. Let them know they have been Tagged by leaving a comment on their Blog.

My weird, random facts:

1. At least twice daily I say "I've got to use the bathroom" and go upstairs to pop in on the computer. My family thinks that I have serious health problems ;-)

2. I love living here in Kentucky - far away from the busy life in CA.

3. I am a firm believer in caller ID - and yes, I check it before I answer ANY call. Sometimes you just don't want to be bothered.

4. I fear that someday my DD will have to take care of me, and give me payback for all the "rules" that I set for her.

5. I love to read. I'll read anything and everything, sometimes twice!

6. Sometimes I don't get dressed or brush my hair til 2:00 in the afternoon ~ right before hubby comes home :)

7. I have to have a hard boiled egg for breakfast everyday.

Now I know that I'm supposed to tag 7 other people, but I really don't know who I'd tag. So if your up to it ~ consider yourself tagged and link it back to me....

Have a great after noon!
Hugs,
Joani

Hope you like it....

I've been a little bored with my blog lately. Not with the whole blogging thing, just the blog layout. So I decided to change it.

I received my latest issue of Creating Keepsakes and there was an article in there about blogs and there was a link to go to if you wanted to change your blog. Well, I went there and poked around and this is what I came up with.... Do you like it? I hope so because I do.

I wanted to thank you all for your kind comments and e-mails about my daughter. She is still sore, but she is fine. Her friend however that was driving is a little worse off. They think that she's broken some ribs. I know from experience that is not at all fun!! But they are doing better. Thank you.

The pooch is doing well too! We've got the bandages off and she is feeling better. I could not imagine being a dog, knowing that something is not right with a bandage wrapped around my head and thinking "why is everyone telling me no when I just want to scratch?". But the tube stays in until the 1st of November ~ so we are literally babysitting her to make sure that she does not scratch the tube out.

Ok, as far as creating goes. Yesterday I worked on my scrapbook. Something that I've not done in a while. I got a few pages done. The journaling did not get done though. My printer is acting up ~ not wanting to print when I tell it to. Then when I shut down the computer it spits things out.... I think I have a poltergeist, after all it is Halloween time :)

I will get those photo'd so you can see them.

I hope you all have a wonderful day - and as Schwarzenegger said "I'll be back".

And here's a funny that I will leave you with today
Hugs,
Joani

I'm back with a few things....

Howdy everyone! I'm back to show you a few things that I've been up to.

My daughter is feeling better. She's still sore. Which is to be expected. And I'm not sure that she's wanting to get in a car all too soon, and I'm thankful for that. I want to keep her a little girl a bit longer. I know that's not possible, but just a little longer....
My doggie is feeling better. We took her bandage off and she has a tube in her ear. It has to stay there for 3 weeks - but she's doing better. At least she does not "look" as pathetic as she did with the bandage on.
Well ~ here's what I've been up to.

I was not sure how Halloween would go over at my booth at the Peddler's Mall so I only took a few cards over there and these 2 packages of treat bags that I made.

They are made out of regular envelopes. I stamped on them and added the ribbon and such. I took some lightweight paper to make the shredded paper at the bottom of the bag. There are 5 in each bag. I don't know ~ what do you think?

My daughter told me that this year she "likes her teachers" so that means that I get to make things for them. So this is the cards that I made for them for Halloween.

I stamped the image from Best Fiends and colored it with my watercolor crayons. The base card is Basic Black. I layered it with Only Orange and some DP from Moxie. I took the image and swiped it across my black pad before I layered it on to Basic Black and I attached it to the card with pop dots. The saying "Happy Haunting" is from my TAC set Happy Haunting.

This card I came up with the other day and I thought that I posted it and didn't.
The base card is Basic Black. I layered it with Only Orange and some DP that was in my drawer. I don't know why manufactures don't have their name on the paper someplace...
I stamped the images in black from SU! Home is where the Haunt Is on the two panels. I sponged Only Orange around the panels then layered those panels with Basic Black and Only Orange. Before adding the layers to the card I ran a length of black ribbon around the bottom panel. The house panel I placed on the card with pop dots. So what do you think???
That's all for today. I am going to go get started on something ~ anything. And I'm sure that I will show you tomorrow!!
Hugs,
Joani

Good Morning

Good morning everyone! I am just popping in with a quick post this morning. You can not imagine the weekend we had at our house.

It was supposed to be a normal weekend, just cleaning up, laundry, going to my SIL's to help out, going to the local orchard for some apple picking, maybe doing some decorating for Halloween. Well, no ~ none of that happened. Last week my DD was off for Fall Break. Strange, yes. When we were in California they never had such a thing. But they do here, and the kids appreciate it.

Well - some of you who do know me know that I am a little strict when it comes to my daughter. There are just some things that I won't let her do, I believe that she is a little too young. Well, I finally caved on one of them. I've never let her go places with her friends in a car. What I mean is when the friend is driving. Well, weekend before last I let her friend drive her home from the Homecoming game. It is only about 2 miles and I thought 'well ok.' That was fine. Then the same friend asked if they could go to the movies this past week - I thought fine.

Danielle asked to stay over at another of her friends house this week for a couple days. This is one of her friends that they were so close not too long ago, but a boy got in the middle of that friendship. Yes, she drives. Well - I thought that it could not be too bad. A couple of nights she was there. I'm not stupid, I know that they were driving around. There really is nothing to do in this town for kids except they all go to Walmart and hangout in the parking lot.

Her friend stopped by on Friday and asked if she could take Danielle to Chuck E. Cheese in the next town - it was a family members birthday. I really did not want to, but I said yes.

Well - about 9:00at night the phone rang. It was Danielle. They were in an accident. Yes, she is ok - just a little bumped up from the impact. But there was no broken bones or blood ~ just a couple of scared girls. Some guy passed them on the road and then stopped sideways in the road in front of them. He claimed that he saw something in the road, which is not to uncommon out here. I took Danielle to the hospital and she is fine, just like I said a little jarred from the impact. And do you know what she told me? She said before they left they BOTH had a feeling that something was going to happen that they asked God to keep them safe on the way home. Really gives you the goosebumps huh? Her friend was smart enough to get right back in the truck and drive home after. She said if she didn't then she would not want to drive again. And I think that Danielle will not be so quick to ask to go with her friends in a car again, at least for a while.

That was the highlight of the weekend. Then there was trauma with our pooch.

Last week I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not - but she was getting this bubble on her ear. It was spongy inside her ear, like it was fluid. Well - we took her to the doggy hospital and she ended up having surgery. She had a hematomia. The doctor said that it was due to her head shaking a lot, due to her allergies. Well, they put her out and got rid of the fluid and put a drain tube in her her. She has to leave it in for 3 weeks. Ricky said that she looks like she belongs in a civil war picture.

Poor girl. We do get to take the bandages off today. They said that the drain tube she has in is stitched so it wont come out. But I'm just concerned that she will paw at it. So we will have to keep a close eye on her. She's a sneaky one :)

Well, that was my eventful weekend. I can say that both my girls suffered some type of trauma over the weekend ~ but they are both A O.K. and they will survive. Sometimes you get thrown a curve ball in life, it's just a test. To see how strong you are. I would like to think that we passed this test. And all is well. It just makes you think how precious life really is.

With that thought I will go. I will be back tomorrow with something, anything.
Have a super day!
Hugs,
Joani

In honor of Halloween...

I thought that I'd post another Halloween creation! As I've mentioned before, I just love Halloween! And I'm sure that you'll be sick of it by the time it rolls around if you keep up with my blog :)

Over at SCS the technique this week was to make a mini pizza box. I just had to do it! They are so darn adorable! I'm sure that I will be doing some more of these for Halloween. They are perfect to give out little treats in. And they are super simple to make!!

You take a piece of paper that is 6" x 10" long. Score in 1" on each side of the long side. Turn it 1/4 turn and score at the 1", 5", 6" and 10" marks. You will make cuts on the 1", 5", 6" and 10" marks to the 1" score line. Fold the flaps in and tape and you are done. If my directions are confusing (sometimes I know what I want to say, but my fingers cant type it out right) then click here to take you to the link and the directions.

For my box I used some DP from K&Company and the Trick or Treaters set from TAC. I punched out the different layers of Only Orange and Basic Black with my Marvy Mega & Giga Scallop Circle punches. I hope that you all try it, I'd love to see what you come up with.

This is another little treat holder that I made. It was another quick and simple thing. I've made a few of these and I really don't follow any direction - I just cut and score. But I think that maybe on the Scor-Pal site they might have some direction. They have lot's of projects you've got to check out!!!

The treat holder is made with Basic Black paper. I punched a hole in it with my 1 3/8" circle punch. It will fit over the top of a water bottle.

I stamped the images from my Trick or Treaters and Spooktacular TAC sets. I colored in the images with pencils and gamsol. I added some stickles to the moon and the booglie eyes to the images. I thought they looked cute with some booglie eyes. Thanks to my Mom for the licorice. Her and my dog, Ginger, love that stuff!!

Well - that's all that I have today. If for some reason I don't make it back tomorrow I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend!!

It's almost the weekend!

Yup, it's almost the weekend! And I'm excited it's finally Thursday. I've been waiting and waiting for today to come. Why? Because the season of CSI finally starts!! I love all the CSI shows, and this one is my favorite. Bad news though that Grissom is leaving this season. How?! He's the biggest part of the show!! I'm not sure how it will be without him, especially since they've got Laurence Fishburne taking his place. Well, we can only hope that he comes back....

I've got a couple of things to show you today. I've been in my craft room working away. I hope that you like them.

The base card is Basic Black that I layered with Pumpkin Pie and some DP that I bought a long time ago that does not have any maker on it. I stamped the images from Best Fiends and Web Wishes and colored them in with pencils. I used my Sakura gel pen on the web as you can see it's sparkly! I also added a length of orange ribbon.

I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie layered on to Basic Black to the card with the sentiment before I added the image panel.

I sponged around the image panel with black ink, layered it on to Basic Black cs and attached it to the card with pop dots.

Here's a fall card that I made for a swap that I am in. I was a little behind on getting these out. Actually when I sign up for a swap I do the cards right away so they are ready. This time I slacked a little, but they are still in the mail be deadline time.

The base card is Really Rust. I layered it with Chocolate Chip and some DP that I punched the corners with my corner punch from All Night Media. But before I added that to the card I laid down a piece of gold ribbon to tie. The image is from Great Impressions that I've had for years. I stamped it and colored it with my pencils and gamsol. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the image and layered it on to a piece of Chocolate Chip and a piece of Gold cs. I added the sentiment Autumn from Ann-ticipations that I stamped on Really Rust with Chocolate Chip ink. I layered that on to Chocolate Chip and Gold cs and attached it to the card with pop dots. I added some stickles to just parts of the image for just a little "pop".

I made this next card for a friend of mine, Betty last week. I did not want to post it because she did not have it yet. Our "play date" was cancelled and she did not come over. But she stopped by this week and I gave it to her so now I can post it. She was Member of the Month on my MSN site and I wanted to give her a card to make her feel a little special.
The base card is Chocolate Chip. I layered it with Bliss Blue (yes, I still have a pack of it), Chocolate Chip and some DP from Paper Trey Ink that Betty gave me Ü
I stamped the image from On the Move and colored it with my pencils. I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around that panel and layered that with Bliss Blue and Chocolate Chip paper. The sentiment in the corner I stamped in Chocolate Chip and layered on to the scraps. I'm happy to say that she liked it!

Well - that's enough for today. I do have a couple more things to show you but they will have to wait til tomorrow.

Have a great day!

I'm still here, really.....

Good morning everyone! It's such a nice crisp morning. I'm so excited that Fall is creeping up on us. Of course this week it's supposed to be in the upper 70's and low 80's but the mornings and evenings are still "crispy".

Even though I've not posted, I'm still here. I've been busy with life things and I've been getting in some good reading. For my birthday my Mother bought me all the Twilight books. OMGoodness ~ I could not put them down. I was so addicted!! I must say they were awesome! I'm kinda sad though, because in the 1st three books she did not write 'the end' and the last book she did. What am I going to do?? Have you ever been so caught up in a book that you become part of it. I walked around with those books - reading every second I could. And to think that the last book was it. The end. No more. How can that be? I need to know what happens next! It's awful! I want more..... Oh well, I can only hope....

Now, on to the cards.

This first one is a RAK that I received from Christina over at Paper Wings. Isn't it just adorable?? Purple, orange and black are some of my favorite colors for Halloween!

This card I made the other day consisted of a lot of coloring. So needless to say this stamp has
not been used much.

The stamp is from Imaginations. I bought this stamp a long time ago. The base card is Only Orange. I added a piece of Certainly Celery on to the lower part of the card. I doodled the "stiching" around it and added a length of ribbon to it. I then layered the image panel that I colored with pencils and gamsol on to a piece of Lovely Lilac. The "BOO" is
from Whipper Snapper. I stamped it in black and added stickles to it for a pop. The little spiders are covered with fun flock. Aside from all the coloring on the image panel the card was actually a simple one.

Well - I'm sorry that's all for today. I've got to save something for tomorrow Ü

Have a super great day!

Joani

Ü Happy Friday Everybody!

Woo Hoo it's Friday! For some reason my internal clock has been telling me most of the week that it's Friday, but I'm glad it's here.

I've been a little busy working on some cards to show you. But for some reason I don't feel like they are just right. I'm thinking that a trip to the scrapbook store is called for. I'm in need of some new paper.

As I've told you all before, I am a lover of Halloween and Fall. So that's why your going to be seeing a lot of Fall cards. I'm almost done with Halloween ~ but my DD came up to me the other day and told me that she likes all her teachers this year. So you know what that means? Yup, I get to make little teacher goodies. Last year she only liked one teacher, so I was off the hook. Looks like I'm going to get busier than I thought!

I made this card to send out for a RAK. I wanted to use only theangelcompany™ products and they don't have any paper, so I thought well what do I have that can be used for Halloween? Then I thought about the Brighten my Day collection. It's got orange colors in it! Ok, not a traditional Halloween card, but I thought that with the black it would look nice.

I used a Basic Black for the base card and layered it with Only Orange and paper from my TAC™ Brighten my Day collection. I sponged black ink around the Only Orange layer. I stamped the images from my Spooktacular set and colored them with my pencils. I sponged Only Orange around the layer and adhered that to the card. The sentiment, also from my Spooktacular set I stamped straight on to the DP. I think that it turned out ok.

I'm sorry for the glare in this picture ~ I tried to fix it and couldn't. This is another stamp from the Spooktacular set. I think that these images are adorable!! And they fit nicely into the scallop circle punches!

I looked back thru some old SCS sketches and found this one SC179 that I thought might look ok for this card.

I stamped my image from the TACSpooktacular set, punched it out with my Mega Scallop Circle punch and sponged Only Orange around the edges and added small black dots to the scallops. I then punched out a piece of Only Orange with my Giga Scallop punch. I lightly sponged black around the edges, then I added the black dot's to the scallops.

The base card was a piece of yellow paper that I had that's not too thick - so all the layers helps. I added a piece of Only Orange and a layer of DP from Heidi Grace. I then took some DP from SU! and layered that on to a piece of Basic Black and added the length of ribbon. The sentiment is from the Spooktacular set also. I stamped that with white ink onto black paper and layered that on to a piece of Only Orange and added that to the bottom right corner. Once the card was complete I added some orange stickles around the moon to give it a glow and I was complete.

This card is a mish mash of all things scrapped. I have a dear friend, who's name I wont mention ~ comes over and goes thru my craft room garbage because I'm bad about throwing things out. I have paper that I'm sure I can still use but toss out. So she goes thru it and punches out squares for her inchies. I've not got into the whole inchie thing ~ they are just too small for me to concentrate on. I tend to over layer, or over do. With inchies you have such a small space, I'm always thinking too big. Anyway, this card is "dedicated" to her ~ because I was good and used my scraps Ü

The base card is Basic Black. I layered it with a piece of Certainly Celery and Orchid Opulence. The DP is from Heidi Grace, Making Memories and Frances Meyer. The image is from A Country Welcome and I purchased that years ago. I think it's still available on their site. I colored the image with my pencils and gamsol. I sponged some Orchid Opulence ink around the edges, layered it and I was complete. This card was actually very fast and easy. I followed another sketch from SCS, which is SC194.

I do have another couple of cards to show you but I am going to wait until tomorrow ~ I don't want to overdose you in one day :)

Have a great day and I will be back tomorrow to show you more!

Hugs,
Joani
