Cards Made By Hand

Another day, another card. I had some extra groups that I filled in for swaps on my MSN site so I had to make more cards.

This was a quick and simple one since I had to make up for another group too. This card was for a season's swap. Well to be honest Fall is my favorite time of year. The chill in the air, the leaves turning colors. Time to pull out the sweatshirts and blankets. I just love fall. So I used a fall stamp for this swap.

The set was a SU! set called Sweet Seasons. I stamped the image and used my SU! watercolor crayons. One of my favorite things to use is pencils but this comes in at a close second. The base card is Old Olive. I layered a piece of Chocolate Chip cs that I distressed the edges and tied a length of orange and brown ribbons to. I then took the image panel and layered that on to a piece of So Saffron. Before I did this I used my scor-pal and "boxed" in the edges. I then sponged some Chocolate Chip ink around the layer and then adhered it to the card. So simple & quick and easy.

Remember when I mentioned that I was going to be selling some items at the local Peddler's Mall? Well I ran across a dilemma of how to put the items in the booth. The lady that's allowing me to use her space said that she was going to bring a shelf for me to use, but it would not fit in her car. Well hubby and I have been looking around for something to use. I wanted to be able to put some paint cans & frapp bottles there too. Maybe some other goodies. And I did not want to take up too much space or block her items. Well then I saw it! This little rack just sitting there waiting for me to buy it! I think it's adorable. The shelves move around so I can adjust the sizes.

So now I am off to work to make things to fill it in! I've already got quite a few cards, but I want more than that. I've been buying my daughter the 4 packs of Starbuck's drinks - now I've just got to go to the paint store and get some cans!!
