As I sit here and type poor Dixie is sleeping on the bed and she just rolled over and fell off. Poor girl. I think that it scared me just as much as it did her.
Let's get down to it ~ let's show some stuff... Ready? Of course!
Last year I made these boxes, we actually they are more like CD cases - they are from Lauren Meader and they are her Music Makeover boxes. I made one for Danielle's bus driver and he loved it. I put a hot cocoa pouch, marshmallows, candy kisses and a candy cane in them. It's a neat little gift idea. Well, I'm making them again and I've got a few to show you. But for today you'll have to be happy with just two of them.
For this I used Pink Pirouette as a base and I layered on Riding Hood Red and some DP that I had from Heidi Grace called Jolly and Bright. I used my SU wide oval punch and my super scallop oval punches for the sentiment that I stamped in Close to Cocoa ink on white cs. I used my white gel pen and my paper piercer for the Riding Hood Red oval. I added a felt flower from American Crafts and a prima with a crystal brad and I was done. Cute huh? I'd love to receive something like this!!
For this CD holder I used a Bashful Blue base that I layered with some Real Red cs, some textured Old Olive cs and some DP from SU! Ski Slope (last year I believe) collection. I just used my super scalloped oval punch to punch out the sentiment from The Angel Company's purchase with purchase stamp that I stamped off with Real Red ink. I used my green gel pen on the scallops and my paper piercer also. I had some foam snowflakes from a purchase at Walmart (years ago) and added a felt flower from American Crafts with a crystal brad and I was complete.
Do you like these? I think that they are perfect for little gift items. You can use them for hot cocoa, drink mixes, teas, CD's ~ anything small enough that you want to jazz up the packaging with. I'm sorry that I can't post the directions - I purchased them last year from Papertrey Ink. Lauren has lots and lots of templates there you can check out, take a peek.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. I will have a few more for you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by and have a super great day!!
