Digi Time!

I'm here ~ again ~ with another digi page for you. I made this page the other day for Digital Scrapbook Place.

I took these pictures when Joyce was here and one evening her and Ricky decided to dance. It was so funny. But anyway, I made the actual back ground papers myself. It was a proud moment. Have a great afternoon!!

**Edited to add:
I had this and another 2 posts ready to post for you and for some reason blogger did not post them. I wanted you to know that I was still here ~ just busy. So I will try again..

Digi Tuesday Afternoon

I couldn't resist. I had to post a digi page. I know, like I said, I'm addicted!!!

I'm sure that you all remembered that I mentioned it was my hubby's birthday this past weekend. Yes, Father's Day and a birthday all in the same weekend. Let me tell you ~ he felt special!

I joined a group at Digital Scrapbook Place (DSP) and I am in hopes that it will give me even more knowledge into the digi world. This is something that I really love to do and I want to learn all I can. And when I joined their forum I received a cool welcome kit to make this page with. So now I'm posting it for you all.

Ricky is kinda boring in the fact that he is not a "sweet" person so I had to drag it out of him what kind of cake he wanted. It was painful... So finally he said he wanted a white cake with chocolate frosting ~ so that's what I made for him. I thought "white cake, how boring" but it actually turned out yummy!! He used to pick things like that when Ginger was alive so she cold have some cake with him...

I hope that you enjoyed my page. Something to give your inspiration a little kick start.

Have a great afternoon!

Freebie!

I'm sure that I've mentioned it before, but I just love the blog Living Locurto! She's always so full of information and inspiration.

Well if you go there now you can pick up her freebie tags! Not to mention the yummy recipie I printed the other day for an enchilada casserole!
So what are you waiting for ~ go --> go there now!!

4th of July and The Angel Company

Good almost afternoon! I've got a late start today, sorry...

Well, anyone wanna see some 4th of July cards? I'm going to jump right in since I'm late today. Lucky you, no blah blah blah *Ü* I wonder sometimes if my babble scares you away or not? But if I babble too much you can just scroll down...

I've been kinda bad about making cards this year. It seems that I am slacking or something. I would of normally had all my holiday cards made and in envelopes and address ready to go out this week ~ but of course I'm behind. I have no idea either what's got to me. OH! Yes I do. It's the darn digital scrapping. That's got to be it. I will try to be better, promise.

This next card is one of my 4th of July cards that I've made. I used the TAC set called Auld Lang Syne. Of course I never understood why they named it that ~ isn't that for New Years? Well I guess you could use the fireworks for New Years Eve...

The base card is Pacific Point that is layered with Riding Hood Red and DP from The Paper Studio. I sponged some Real Red ink around the DP layer to give it a little antique look. I then stamped the images on to white cs then used my markers to color them in. Of course then I got this bright idea to frame in the image panel so I cut out a rectangle in Riding Hood Red with my Labels Large nesties set. I then took my Marvy punch and punched the oval out of the center and then placed the image panel behind it. I added some star brads to each corner of the panel for a little more flair. I added stickles to the fireworks because those should be sparkly. Then lastly I took another flag image that I stamped and colored and added it to the top of the image panel a little on the outside with pop dots for dimension. I stamped God Bless America from TAC's Flag Quilt set with Real Red ink, cut that out and adhered it to a scrap of Riding Hood Red and added it on the outside panel. So, wadda ya think?

Here we go on to the next hard. I used some very old stamps for this card. But I did find a couple of them on line, I'll give you the links.
I first stamped the liberty bell from Print Works and also another for a mask. I masked it off and stamped the stars in the background with YoYo Yellow ink. I then stamped the Rockets from Stampouri. I colored in the bell with my watercolor crayons and the blue of the rockets. I then colored the rest of the rockets with my Real Red marker. I sponged some Real Red ink around that panel and layered it on to a piece of Riding Hood Red cs. The base card is Pacific Point that I layered with Riding Hood Red and some DP from Reminisce. The sentiment I had that was an UM piece of rubber and I colored with Real Red and Brilliant Blue inks and cut out to layer on a piece of Riding Hood Red scrap. I cut the ends to look like a piece of ribbon and adhered it to the card with pop dots and I was complete.

I'm going to try to post another digi page this afternoon ~ but I won't promise.

Mom is going in for surgery on her eye this Thursday so I would appreciate any and all your prayers if you would. They say that it is routine and she wont be asleep because she cant take the anesthesia but it's still kinda scary. I don't know all of the technical terms, I believe it is something to do with cataracts and glaucoma ~ but I do know that they are replacing a lens. But I would appreciate any and all prayers.

Have a great afternoon everyone!!

I am here!

I think that I'm back on track... I think...

I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I've just been busy with life things I guess. It happens...

Yesterday Betty stopped by. Totally shocked me. It was after dinner, and of course she always stops by when I look, ahem, at my "prettiest"... Isn't that always the way. But of course as soon as I saw what was in her hot little hands I had to hug her and show her in to sit down!! Yes, it was the new SU! catty!!! OMGoodness, it's wonderful!! I thanked her and told her 'now you know what I'm going to be doing for the next 3 days!'. When they left we sat in the living room and I had already been thru the catty. You know, the quick take a look kinda thing. Then when we were in the living room Danielle said "didn't you just look thru that?" Silly kid, of course ~ but that was the preliminary look. Now I've got to look again. And again. And again... They really did it up nice this time! Tomorrow I'll show you what she gave us too, it's adorable!

Are you ready for a card? I hope so, here goes.

This card I made with my TAC set Little Cupcake. I stamped the cupcake image and masked it off to stamp the candle peeking out from behind the cupcake. I colored most of it in with my pencils and gamsol. I used my markers for things like the dots, cherry and candle flame. The base card is Perfect Plum. Yes that retired in 2004 but on a organizing frenzy I found a 1/2 full pack of it!! I layered the card with Green Galore, Pink Pirouette and DP from TAC's A Little Whimsy collection. I stamped the sentiment with Pink Passion ink. It is actually 2 sayings but I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place it so it says "birthday cupcake wishes". I added a length of organdy ribbon and some stickles and I was complete.

I don't think that I've shared the new site I've found with you yet. It's called Digital Scrapbooking Place. OMGoodness, they are awesome. It is such a wonderful site with SO many helpful people it's unreal! I've spent a short amount of time there this weekend and there is so much to learn. Yes, I've used so many freebie kits doing the digital scrapping ~ but I hope to someday be able to make the kits and papers and embellies to digi scrap. And I'm sure that hanging out there will help me learn. They are so patient and kind to beginners, you've got to go peek just to check it out. If anything you will be inspired!

It's time for me to go. I've got some wife-ly duties to take care of. I will be glad when one day the find toilets that clean themselves. Until then, it's my job.

Have a great day!

I am here!!

Barely!

We had some terrible storms last night, it was awful!! Here we are in the middle of the night in the attic because we had a leak in our room. I don't even want to ask 'what next?'!! It was right next to my computer. Oh, what would I do without that!!!

I know that I've apologized before for not being around, but I have an excuse. Me and my big ideas with digital scrapbooking. I've become so addicted to it that I want to learn more ~ so I joined a group called digital scrapbook place. Oh, it's wonderful! And there is a member on there who's been giving me "lessons" so to speak. She's very kind to take me on, and very patient. It's really amazing what you can do.

I know, I know ~ enough of the blah blah blah's. You want to see some cards don't you? Ok, hold on to your hat - here we go!
This first card I made a week or so ago. Betty left this stamp set with me to use and believe me I used the heck out of it. I love this set!! It's by SU! called Fresh Cuts. And yes, I had to use Chocolate Chip.

The base card is Chocolate Chip that I layered with Certainly Celery and Barely Banana. I stamped the leave images in Chocolate Chip and Old Olive on white cs. I then layered Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery cs over that with a length of ribbon and the three eyelets. I stamped the main image in Chocolate Chip on white cs and cut it out with my coluzzle. I then cut out 2 more layers with my coluzzle in Chocolate Chip and Barely Banana. If you look close you can see that I shaded part of the image panel with yellow chalk. I added some small flowers to that panel and layered it with pop dots and I was complete. I thought that it turned out really pretty. I actually have it sitting on my desk.

For this card I used another one of Betty's sets. Isn't she nice enough to let me use her stuff? I'm so bored with my stamps right now and Betty's been kind enough to let me use hers.

This set is called Pretty Amazing. I stamped the images on to a piece of white cs and I tried to keep the colors like those on the DP Summer Picnic. I then cut out the image panel with my scallop oval nestie ~ I did the same for the panel I layered under it in Real Red. I took the Summer Picnic DP and layered that on to the card with some ribbon. The image panel was added to the card with some pop dots, as well as the bird. The sentiment panel is from the Fresh Cuts set that I stamped with Old Olive ink and cut out with my coluzzle. The layer under that is some scrap DP that I punched out with my Marvy oval scallop punch.

I think it turned out really cheerful, don't you?

That's all I've got for you right now ~ I don't want to spoil you *Ü*

I'll try to be back later to show you some more! Have a super great day!!

Sorry for my lack of posts...

I'm sorry for my lack of posts the past few days. I've just been busy and Joyce is leaving tomorrow. I just popped in to show you a couple of things ~ I've felt bad for not posting.

I hope that you all had a wonderful Father's day weekend. We had wanted to do something outside this weekend but it was just to dang hot!! Not the kind of hot that you can just sit in the shade to stay cooler ~ it was HUMID hot. That kind of hot you can't get away from unless your sitting in a water bucket.

Ok, enough of that ~ let's just get right to it shall we...
The first card I want to show you was made with a stamped Bella image, it's Gardenbella. I've been wanting to make a card that's not your normal A2 size card for a while now so here it is. It is actually 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".
The base card is Apricot Appeal that I layered with Old Olive, Summer Sun and Sweet Always DP. The image is colored in with my watercolor crayons. I sponged some Pixie Pink ink around some of the layers. I used my slot punch to punch out a place for the ribbon to go thru. I added some prima flowers and a couple of brads to the front. I also used some stickles on the flower basket and I was complete.
The next set of cards I made was with a stamp that Joyce bought while she was here. It is a Hero Arts image that reminds me so much of SU! Upsy Daisy stamp set. I know, it does not look all to much like it, but it reminds me of it.

The base card is Pink Pirouette that I layered with Pixie Pink and Parisian Summer DP. I ran the Pixie Pink cs thru the cuttlebug with the Stylized Flowers folder. I had taken the Parisian Summer DP and used my Martha Stewart punch along the bottom edge and ran a length of ribbon at the top of it before adhering to the paper. The image was stamped with Positively Pink ink on to white cs then I used my SU! Scallop die to cut it out and trimmed it up to fit the card. I used my sakura gel pen on the butterfly trail and I was complete.

I hope that these two cards hold you for today. I might be back later with a digi page.

Have a great day!

You ready for Digi Friday?

It's a little late today, but you ready for Digi Friday??

I've been a little busy today with birthday things ~ and hubby's on the phone with his sister so I thought that I could squeeze in a digital page for you.
I made this page with elements from RAK Scraps. It's kinda a fun page I think, don't you? This picture was from when a friend of ours from one of our groups came by to visit last year. We've been blessed to of been able to meet quite a few people from our different groups. It's so nice to actually put a face to the posts.

I hope that you all have a great weekend. And Happy Father's day to all you Father's out there if your reading. I'm sure that I will be posting some more digi pages for you to peek at *Ü*

It's Friday & some candy

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday.

Like I mentioned earlier I've got birthday responsibilities to deal with today so I really don't have anything for you. But I did want to pop in and let you know that.

I also wanted to let you know about some blog candy that a friend has up for grabs. Run quickly to Sassy Designs and check it out. It's awesome!! She has First Prize is 100 stamped images stamped on to white Concord record card and Second Prize is 50 stamped images stamped on to white Concord record card ~ Isn't that cool!! My hand cramps just thinking of stamping all those images!!

I hope to be back tomorrow, but you never know what we've got going on!!

Have a great day!!

It's Digi Afternoon

Actually it's not... It is still morning, but I am scheduling this so blogger will post it for me when I shut off my computer. I wanted to be able to show you something this afternoon and with a storm coming I was afraid I could not do it. So, I'm scheduling *Ü*
I made this page with papers and elements from The Shabby Princess.
This was our last stamp show that we went to in California. These are dear friends that we left back there. If there was a way to pack them up with us I would of done it. I miss them dearly each and everyday.
Hope this inspires you. Why don't you take a stab at it? Just go to one of the places that I've listed on my digital pages and download a free kit? Take a picture and play with it. It really is super fun. OH! And super addicting. I went out and bought a 8mb memory card to hold all my digi kits and it's almost full. Now, is that addicted or what?
Have a great afternoon!

Happy almost Friday

This post will be short today, got lots to do. Hubby's birthday being tomorrow. So I don't think that your going to get the blah blah blah today ~ relief, huh? This card is kinda ugly, isn't it? I tried to use manly paper's on it - but I'm not sure if I like it or not. I just might make another today, I don't know.
I used the Backwoods set from SU!. The base card is Chocolate Chip that I layered with a dark green linen paper and some DP's from The Paper Patch. I stamped the images and colored them in with pencils and gamsol. I had stamped another cabin and bird that I colored in and pop dotted over the top of the others. I used my stipple brush to add the colors to the ground and sky with Bliss Blue, Ballet Blue, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa inks. I made the photo corners with left over papers. You can't tell to well but the darker paper has fish on it. I added the ribbon scrap and button also. The sentiment is from TAC's gift with purchase stamps that I stamped on to a piece of white cs that I punched out with my oval punch and outlined with my silver pen.
Like I said, I may just make another today ~ I'm not sure. And I'm not sure if I can make it back later or not. We are supposed to be in for a real bad storm. I may be getting the canoe out, who knows...
I hope that you have a great day!

Digi Time

You didn't think that I could let a day go by without doing a digi page, did you??

I made this page with a kit called Mel's World from DigitalArts-cafe. This was Joyce, Danielle, Mom and I at Frisch's Big Boy here in town. We stopped in for lunch the other day. I love the elements in that kit!!
I'm really in hopes that me doing this inspires you. I've lost a few subscribers, and I don't know why. It just tells me that the content is no longer relevant? I've posted cards and scrap pages. I think that's relevant ~ don't you??
This is all I have for today! Wishing you all well for a wonderful Wednesday!

Looksie what I saw...

The other day there was a lady on Paper Wings who showed us a blog that she saw some very cool things on. Well of course I have this blog listed in my fav's but I've not been getting to blog hopping lately to see it.
The blog is called Bakerella and although I'm not the Susie Homemaker that I'd love to be I love her blog!! You must go there to check it out. Here's a picture of what she posted last. Isn't it adorable. Please go there ~ you can not imagine how these are made!!
And what Dad would not love this on Father's Day. Remember, it's this coming Sunday. Do you have anything planned yet?

Happy Wednesday!

Good Morning Everybody!! I hope that today finds you well, and that you've survived the nasty weather that we've all been having. It seems that not just here but every where there is nasty weather. This is one crazy season. Last year we were in a drought and our grass was actually burnt ~ this year we have too much rain and people are being flooded out! Crazy!!

I have a little something to show you that I made a while ago and I don't think that I posted it. Here is the template that I made.
I used paper from The Angel Company - it's called Rustic Chic. One of my fav's!! You can also use this as a gift card envelope - or a little money holder...

And the stamp set is called Happy Trails. Well, do you like it??I'm sorry that this is all I have for you today. I am getting in the craft room and start to craft in just a few minutes. Tomorrow I will have something for you, promise!

Friday is Hubby's birthday and I don't even have his birthday card made. So I know for sure that I need to get to work on it. It's kinda hard to buy things for him. He NEVER tells you what he wants or needs. We have a little thing here at our house that the birthday person get's to pick what they want for their birthday dinner. Either to make or to go out. Of course he has to work on his birthday so he won't want to go out. He does not like to work all day then come home to go back out again, I don't blame him. So needless to say Friday I'll be busy baking a cake too!

So I'm off to create something! Have a great day!!

Digi time Tuesday

I'm back and here with a new digi page...

This one is a page I made with elements from The Shabby Princess. I hope you like it.

The goose was from our trip last week to Archivers. We went there and standing out side at the mall was this goose. Cars and people did not seem to bother him. He just stood with his feet in the puddle. And the cardinal is from out bird bath out back. I finally caught one in there. It seems like they knew every time I turned the camera on to snap their picture that they would fly away. Well this time I caught him!
Hope you like it, and more so I hope that it inspires you!!

Good morning!

Good morning everyone! I hope that today finds you well.
I'm trying to get my computer stuff done this morning because the weather report says that we might be having some nasty weather this afternoon. I try to keep the computer off during those times. Last thing I want is to fry the computer. Then what would I do?
I've got just a couple of things for you. A card and a couple of ATC's.
The first I'll show you are some ATC's that I did a while back. I was in an ATC swap that was titled "My favorite Things". It was not MFT the stamp company, it was MY favorite things. I love cupcakes, but you know that. Anyway on with the deets....
The card stock used was Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip. I colored the rubber directly with my markers and then colored the images in with pencils and gamsol. I added a little stickles here and there for some "pop". On the one ATC I stamped "hey sweet thing" on a scrap and cut it out and adhered it to another scrap. Punched a hole in it and attached it to the card with some thread.
I thought they turned out cute ~ but then again they are cupcakes, of course they are cute!!
The next card I made for a friend a while back and sent it out. I just have not posted it. I do try to wait til the recipient get's it, and I already know that she did.
The base card is Pretty in Pink. I layered it with Close to Cocoa and some TAC DP called Mimi. I just love that paper!! I cut out the top note die with the Mimi collection and added it to the left side of the card. I then colored the image with my markers and stamped it on to a piece of white paper. I then added the sentiment and sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the panel. I layered that on to a piece of Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip and added it to the card. I also added a length of organdy ribbon to the card ~ I think that added a little more softness, don't you think?

The inside I layered a piece of Chocolate Chip and white cs that I punched with my Martha Stewart punch and I was complete!

I hope that you enjoyed this card today. I'll try to get another post in this afternoon ~ as long as the weather permits!!

Have a great day!!!

It's Digi Monday

Hi everyone, I told you I'd be back this afternoon. Well, ok ~ I was not sure. But I'm here with a digi page for you.

I took this picture last week, it's of Mom and Joyce. We went to lunch at this cute little diner on Main Street called Fava's. I think that it's been there forever. Well we went in and had lunch and walked around Main Street for a little bit. The hanging flowers were so pretty I told Mom and Joyce to stop and say "cheese". I think that it turned out nice.
I used a kit from Summertime Designs called Memories. You like? I hope so. I'm having a blast making all these pages.

Well - that's all I have for you today. Like I said earlier, the laundry is calling.

Happy Monday!

I hope that today finds you well. What a nice but strange weekend we had.

If you've already read my last post you know that Saturday we went to the Beer Cheese Fest in Winchester. It was kinda overcast - but it was not really all that hot out. Yesterday was a nice day. Of course around dinner time Danielle had plans to go out to the movies with her latest love interest. She worked on her hair most of the day - and a lot of you know how that is. Remember the teen years?

We get in the car so I can take her over to the theater and it starts to rain. No, not just rain. The raindrops were falling on the car's roof it sounded like little golf balls. When the drops hit the wind shield they plopped the size of your fist. Of course Danielle did not want to get out of the car, you know - the hair was perfect. And of course just as I was driving away it stopped just as fast as it started. Weird, weird weather they have out here. Now back in California it was either the rain or the wind by season. And none of this humidity. Oh, not like here. There it was hot - 100 degrees hot, and a dry heat. Here it's 80 and humid. And you have to keep the bread in the refrigerator. The weather is something that's very hard to get used to.

Ok, enough of the jabbering. Let's get down to a card!

I finished this card yesterday. Notice how I say finished? Well I started it Friday. I actually stamped the images on Friday and cut them out. Then yesterday I popped it together really quick. I could sit and cut out images all day long. We were sitting out back Friday after dinner just talking and I was cutting these out. I mean really, if you are sitting there you might as well be doing something with your hands, right?

I stamped the images from SU! Playful Petals set in Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Garden Green and Close to Cocoa with their coordinating ink colors. I cut them out and set them aside. I took a piece of Chocolate Chip cs for the base and layered it with More Mustard and a piece of DP from Prima. I ran a piece of the paper from the other side thru the CB with the swirls folder and then inked it with Chocolate Chip ink. I layered that on to the other piece with a length of ribbon.

I then took my nesties label one and cut out 2 of the images with Soft Sky and Creamy Caramel cs and layered them on to the card. I then took the images from Playful Petals and cut them out and adhered them to the card, some with pop dots. Once they were adhered I used my sakura gel pen and gave them some "pop" and I was complete.

So, how do you like it? I think that it turned out kinda cool.

OH!! And BTW ~ did you notice my new signature line? Adorable isn't it?? I was blog hopping the other weekend and I found this blog called Krizzy Designs. She does this kinda thing. The signatures, blogs, headers -- all the cool stuff that I'm not technical with. Maybe pop on over there and take a peek! I'm sure you'll love it!

I'll try to be back this afternoon. I'm not sure what we've got planned today if anything. I do know that my laundry basket is calling.

Have a great afternoon!!

Digi Time!

Today we headed off to Winchester Kentucky to their Beer Cheese festival. It was not really hot out either, so it was pleasant to walk the streets and see the vendors. We were going to go to Elizabethtown however we got a late start and thought it best not too.

This page I made using a kit from Summertime designs. The kit is called Sweet Springtime. I hope that you enjoy it, and that it gives you some inspiration.

Have a super great day!!
Hugs,

Joani

Sorry for the lack of posts

I'm truly sorry for my lack in posting the past few days. If you remember our friend Joyce is here from California and we've been busy doing things outside the house.

I did just whiz up a digital page for you if you'd like to take a look-sie. I just love digital scrapping... It literally takes minutes.

This page was made with elements from Shabby Princess. I used the Harvest Spice collection. Perfect for the fall page.
These pictures were taken Halloween 2007. There is a place here in town that we go to each year called Bi-Water Farm. I think that I've talked about it before. We go there in the fall for the pumpkins and the petting zoo (yes, that's for me...) and then in the spring we go there to get our plants for the garden and my flowers. This year is their 50th anniversary! Wow!!
I will try, yes try, to get back this weekend and post something for you. We are going to take a day trip someplace tomorrow - where we are not sure yet. But I'm sure that I'll have pictures, the camera is charged!
Have a great one! And thanks for the patience with me.
Hugs,
Joani

Digi Time!

Good afternoon everyone! I thought that I'd share a digi page with you.

Danielle loves to fish. I think that it is something that she remembers from way back... I'm not sure if I told this or not but when she was little Ricky and her made a worm box and they used to fish.

Funny story: When Danielle was about 2ish or 3ish Ricky would take her to the pond at the local park where we lived. He had bought her her first fishing pole. It was yellow and marked "catfish fishin' pole" and she loved it! Well this one particular time he took her to the pond and they were there fishing when all of the sudden she got a fish on her pole. She dropped the pole and said to Ricky "Bicky - it's broke". She used to call him Bicky. Well anyway he dove for the pole just as it was about to go into the pond... She dropped it because she thought that they were just there with the pole's in the water, she did not know what to do when she caught a fish. It's one of those you had to be there kinda things - but it brings back fond memories for me.

Well fast forward to today... Danielle still loves to fish and last season Ricky bought her a tackle box to go with her pink fishing pole. Yes, it's pink. So now that she's older she needs a licence. We took her down and got her a licence and took her fishing this past weekend. This page shows the pictures of our trip.

I had a tragic experience with my fish I caught, I felt bad and I named him "Herman". I used a digital kit from Memory Makers Art Nation.

Hope you enjoy it!
Hugs,

Joani

Good morning!

Good Morning everyone! I hope that today finds you well.

I've been working on a little something that's got me tied up - but I do have a card that I made last week that I've not posted. I think that I will show you that - ok?Still bored with my stamps, but I'm trying to be good and not buy anything (HA! That's a joke, I'm going to Archiver's tomorrow!!!) but really ~ I am trying to be good and use what I have.

I used this old-very old SU! set called Sweet Herbs. The base card is Garden Green and I stamped the border stamp directly on the card with Garden Green ink. I then stamped the image and colored it in with my watercolors. I adhered that panel on to a piece of Really Rust. But before attaching it to the card I cut a "flag" out of More Mustard and placed that on the card ~ I think that a little bit of color made the card pop. I then stamped the little image plaque and cut it out and pop dotted it to the lower left of the image panel.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment in Really Rust ink at the lower right of the card on white card stock. I layered that on to a piece of More Mustard and took the leftover piece of Really Rust that was torn for the front image panel and added it on the left side.

All in all I think that it turned out nice. What do you think??

I've got a project to finish that's all over my craft table so that's where I'm off to. I hope to be back later to post a digi page.

Have a great day!
Hugs,

Joani

Ahhh, I didn't forget

Yesterday I showed you all a sneek peek at what I made - you ready to see the whole project?

Here goes!!

I had a friend ask me to make something for her using these fresh cut note cards, so I had to do it for her! I just love these. And I have no idea why I didn't get this set a long time ago!!

I took the note cards and stamped the image from the Fresh Cuts set with Positively Pink ink and punched out the flower. I then added the prima with the brad, added a length of ribbon and then backed the image with a piece of Chocolate Chip paper. I left the inside blank so whatever can be written in it. I stamped the envelope also.

The box is just a basic box made from Purely Pomegranate card stock. I stamped it with the same image as the envelope in Purely Pomegranate ink and them assembled it. The panel on the front is a carousel note die that I cut out of Pink Pirouette card stock. As you can see I stamped the Fresh Cuts stamp on to a note and added the flower (also stamped from the set in Chocolate Chip ink) and a brad. I then cut it out with my coluzzle and added a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock behind it. Then I cut out the next larger size with my coluzzle circle in Chocolate Chip and adhered that. I added a length of ribbon to the back before adding it to my carousel note box. I added a strip of the paper for a handle that I attached with brads and I was complete.

This set is basically the same, I just used the Fresh Cuts image with Chocolate Chip ink, added the prima and a crystal brad. I punched out the flower petals and backed it with a piece of Old Olive card stock. I added a little piece of Soft Sky card stock at the bottom of the note card. I stamped the envelope with the coordinating stamp in Old Olive ink also.

The basic box design is made out of Soft Sky card stock. I stamped it with Bliss Blue ink and assembled the box. I cut the carousel note die out of Old Olive card stock and added it to the box. I stamped the Fresh Cut stamp on white card stock with Chocolate Chip ink. I stamped the flower from the set in Chocolate Chip ink, cut it out and added it to the image with a crystal brad. I them cut the whole image out with my coluzzle. I cut another piece of the same size out of Old Olive card stock and added it to the back of the image panel. I then cut the next size larger out of Chocolate Chip card stock and added it to the back of the image panel. I added a length of ribbon to the back before adhering it to the carousel note and I was complete.

You think that she'll like them? I hope so, I think that they turned out nice.

Well ~ that's all for now. I plan on getting off the computer and creating!

Have a great day!!
Hugs,

Joani

A little purse for you...

When people place orders from me I always try to do a little something for them. When I started stamping many years ago I had a demo who I ordered from each month faithfully, and ordered lots, who I must say was awful. We would go to her home each month and place our orders and she would never offer water or anything to drink. She'd put us in her sun room (which was hot with no A/C) and we'd place our orders. Sometimes, not all the time, she would have a card for us to make. One time I had to take Danielle and she actually charged me for Danielle to make the card! Then to top it all off she'd have us go to her home to pick up our orders because she could not make it out to us ~ it was about 30 miles away.

So needless to say I learned from that experience. I was not asking for anything ~ but the amount of money we were spending with this person she could of taken time to send us a thank you card or something. So now when I have my party's I make sure that I spend the time to make a little something as my way of saying thank you.

Ok - after that long story, here is something that I made for one of my last parties.

I was having trouble with adding the text on the pictures, if you have trouble seeing it just click on the picture and it will bring it up larger for you to see.

The first thing you want to do is make the inner box. The top piece is before you trim and get ready to apply tape. One thing I do to is before the box is adhered you want to add a cut out to it. I used my tab punch for this.

Then you want to cut out 3 rectangles for the box. Two for the back and front and the 3rd is cut in 1/2 for the flap. I used my scallop rectangle nestie to cut them out. They you want to run them thru the cuttlebug to add a design to the paper.Once you've done that then score them on your scor-pal and apply the tape strips to them. Now you will tape them together and they are ready to add the inner box.Now you will add the inner box.

Here I added a scallop circle and a 1 3/8" circle to the flap with a button on the front. Behind it is a piece of Velcro for the closure.Add a piece of ribbon for a handle and you are done!

Supplies used:
1 3/8" circle punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Largest Scallop Rectangle Nestie Small
The Angel Company Mimi DP
Ribbon
Fancy Pants Button
Velcro
Scor-Pal
Cuttlebug
Devine Swirl & Love Language folders

I'd love to see what you come up with! If you give it a try, link it back here and let me know. Like I said I'd love to see it!!

Have a great day!!

Happy Sunday Morning!

Oh, it is so beautiful outside ~ what the heck am I on the computer for?! To share something with you, silly!!
Lately my creativity has been off a little. I've been wanting to create, but when I sit down to do it I jump back up to do something else entirely different. Friday I told myself to sit and do something. I did, but this is all that came of it.

I'm not too sure that I like this card. I made 2 of them - one pink with pink and one with purple. I wanted something fun, and I guess it looks ok. I am not one to make white cards. I think that's why I'm not sure that I like it.

The base card is white that I layered with Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac and some DP from TAC called A Little Whimsy. I stamped the image from Little Cupcake and colored it in with my pencils and gamsol. I added some rick-rack and some scrap ribbon to the card. I also added some gems for a little added touch. I doodled around the card with my Pink Passion pen. Wadda ya think?

If ya like it, the first person that leaves a comment and tells me they like it I will send it to them!

I've got one more thing to show you. Ok, not really a thing - it's a sneek peek.

I think that you can almost figure this out. But I'll show you tomorrow!
Have a great day!

Joani

I know, it's not a card...

No, it's not a card ~ but I will have some card's soon for you to see. Now it's digi page time!! I hope that me posting these inspire you somehow. I enjoy making them so much that I'd hate to know that you are not enjoying them. I've got some cards for you to look at too - I'm just trying to catch up on some long overdue scrap booking. Both paper and digital. This was one of Danielle's best school pictures ever taken. Not only did the photographer capture her just right, the picture looks soft. I didn't do that, they did it.
I used a kit from Creating Keepsakes called Echos of Asia and some elements from Scrapwow's Cosmo collection. Do you like?
I'll try to get back today ~ but it is the weekend and you know I try to spend it with family.
Have a great day!

It's Digi Time!

Good Afternoon!!

I'm back again with another Digi Page. This is so addicting. I just love making these pages, they are so much fun!!

When I saw this download on the Creating Keepsakes website I had to have it. I remembered the picture I had with Danielle and her creation from floral class. It's perfect!

I hope to see you again tomorrow with more crafting!
Hugs,

Happy Friday!

Good morning everyone! Happy Happy Friday to you! Today looks like it will be a nice day. The sun is out and it's not raining ~ but with the crazy weather here in Kentucky that could change every 15 minutes.

Remember yesterday the sneek peek that I showed you? Wanna see the rest? Of course you do!!Well this is it. Like it? I made this for Betty a while back. I first saw it on line here at Stamps,Paper, Scissors and I knew that I just had to make one. It is made with the carousel notes and envelopes from SU! I had to hand cut the one used for the flap because I did not know I needed a 3rd one and I had only 2.
I used Chocolate Chip, Barely Bananna, Almost Amethyst and Purely Pomegranate card stock. The DP was Parisian Summer. The stamps that I used were from TAC and I used some from my grab bag I received, Spring Dream, A Blessing to Me and SU! Word by Word. I used So Saffron and Purely Pomegranate inks as well.

I used some small eyelets, the tab punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch, flowers from Queen & Company, Carousel notes, coluzzle and my needle to paper pierce. I outlined with my black pen. So, wadda ya think?

Well when Betty stopped by the other day we knew that we wanted to create something. We thought that we might do the tile coasters so off to Lowe's we went. Then while we were out it was getting a little later and we decided to go eat. We got home and Betty did not bring the stamp that she thought she'd like to use on her coasters so we ended up making these purses. They really are not difficult to make. I think what takes longer is thinking what you want to decorate with or the paper to use.

So here is what I came up with the other day. We used the carousel notes and envelopes again. Of course it does not hurt that I love Chocolate Chip *Ü*

We just pulled paper drawers out and sifted thru them. Stamp set's were flying by. Scraps here and there... You get the point. On the front of this purse I stamped my stamp Word by Word with Betty's new Versamark Dazzle pad. I like it, it's a subtle glittery effect. I'm sorry but you really can't tell from the picture. Our weather was a little overcast that day and the picture did not turn out too well...

So you like? I hope so! Now lets see what you create!

Have a great day!

Joani

This is another page that I have made with kits from The Shabby Princess.
This was a goofey time. Ricky's brother from California sent him this hat. He does not know why, but he did. When he tried it on he was acting goofey and of course I've always got the camera close by. I take pictures of everything. Of course I don't save all the pictures, but I do take pictures all the time. I just wanted to share them with you!
Have a super day!!
