Good Morning!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope today finds you rested and well.
As I mentioned yesterday I wanted to show you the coupon holder that I made, and how I made it. I had wanted something to put in my purse for a while to keep my coupons in. Of course I'm sure that I will still not pay attention and they will expire anyway!!
Make note: If for some reason you can not see the picture just click on it to bring it up larger then hit your back arrow to bring you back here.
The first thing that you will do is cut 2 pieces of patterned or DP 4 1/8" wide x 12" long. Place it on your scor-pal and score it at 2", 4", 6" & 10" then turn the paper over and score it at 1", 3", 5", 7" and 11". Now you will fold your paper with the valley and mountain folds (accordion style) very crisp, use your bone folder if you must.
I used white cs, but you can use whatever you like for this part. You will cut 6 pieces of cs 4 1/2" wide by 4 1/8" tall. You can use your 1 1/4" circle punch and insert it 1/2 way into the cs at the center point to make the tab's. Now you will take your cs pieces and apply your adhesive to the front side and glue them inside your accordion folded paper on both sides.
This is what it should look like when this step is complete. This is easy so far, right? Once you get this step done the rest is a piece of cake!

Now you will take a piece of 4 1/2" x 12" piece of matching DP and score it at 4 1/8", 4 5/8", 8 6/8" & 9"*** Now you will take your accordion center piece and apply adhesive along the front and back sides as shown and attach to your long DP.***Please make sure that these dimensions are correct BEFORE attaching your center file piece. I am doing this from memory since I seemed to of lost my directions...

To close the file you can use a piece of Velcro, a magnet or even make a cute belly band to keep it closed. That is your choice, and the possibilities are endless!! The paper that I've used here is from The Angel Company called Bella Flor.

So ~ how do you like that? That's what I made for my Stampers 6 group last party. You want one? Become one of my Stamper's 6 group and you can look forward to goodies each "party".

Have a great day!

Coupn holder?

I think that it was my last Stampers Group that I made these for. Isn't that awful. It was not that long ago. I so need to clean my camera out more often.
I wanted to make a little coupon holder for my purse. I am always tucking coupons in here and there in my purse, only to find them after they have expired. Well for my last stampers group I made these to send out to the ladies. And no, I didn't make one for myself ~ but it does not surprise me.
This is some of the little things that I do for my customers when they sign up for a Stampers group with me. Each "party" I make a little something to go with the order, it's my way of saying thanks!!
I do have a tutorial that I made up to make these, and I will post it tomorrow. Just a little sneek peek to keep you interested *Ü*
Have a great day!

Another day, another project!

Here it is almost noon time and I still have barely got out of my own way. Hubby spoils me. On the weekends he cooks breakfast. Oh, he can cook a darn good breakfast. He leaves a giant mess ~ but the breakfast is SO worth it!

Then I thought, I'll just sit at the computer and take a look around blog land for a few minutes.... Well, that turned out to be a trip to Jacksonbell's and a few dollars later (she's having a Labor Day sale!!) I'm still sitting here.....

So I figure I might as well be productive and show you what I did yesterday.

These cards need a little something else... But the idea was to show the actual birthday. I've got a little something else cooking along the same lines as this though. Hopefully I'll get that done today and show you tomorrow!

I took the Calendar set from TAC (it's discontinued) and stamped the calendar, date and month out. Then layered that on a piece of TAC paper from the Brighten my Day collection. I then took the happy bday from the Changito set that Nic sent me and stamped that out. I used a little glitter here and there and I was done.

I am in need of making some items for my stampers group. I've been busy making things for my family and the Peddler's Mall that I've "neglected" my other duties.

I always sent little things that I make along with my customer orders. I think that it is only right. Just because we are not sitting down to actual "parties" does not mean that they should not get something. Just my way of thinking....

So being stumped ~ I was off to look at my TAC catty. I think that it's kinda cool to have "recipes" for different projects right in the catty itself. And this is one of them.

It's called a treat holder. Now, I'm not sure what type of treat you can put in there because of the belly band, but I was thinking of using it as a coupon holder for my purse... And it was really super easy to make. The directions right there in the catty with the picture really helps!

I took a piece of Chocolate Chip cs for the base. You use a paper lunch sack to create the inside.

The belly band is made up with paper from TAC's Willoughby collection and a piece of Certainly Celery cs. I used my Mega and Giga scallop punches to adhere the image on to. The image is one of the previous stamps of the month from TAC. I added a loopy brad and some ribbon scraps ~ stamped the sentiment from Trendy Greetings and I was done! I am so using this as a coupon holder....

Well, enough of my babble ~ it's time to get going and try to make something out of this day.
I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
Hugs,
Joani
