Ready for another T Slide card?

I hope so, because these are so much fun to make!!  Let's get right to it shall we...
How can you not love this image?  She is adorable!!  The image is Audrey with a cupcake from The Stamping Boutique.  It's a digi image that I had purchased a long time ago, but if you go there now it is on special and all this week all the digi's are $1.00 off.  I had to plug them, I really ♥love♥ their images...

Anyway, I colored the image with my pencils and gamsol and cut it out with my small scallop oval nesties.  I also cut out a piece of Cherry Cobbler in the same size to layer behind it, just a little off center.  The swirls that you see behind the image are from Butterfly Swirls from The Angel Company that I stamped with Close to Cocoa ink.  The sentiment is from SU! For a Friend that is also stamped with Close to Cocoa ink also and I hand cut around it and layered it on to a piece of Cherry Cobbler.  I love that new color!!  The DP is from SU! and I'm sorry but it is the discontinued Sweet Always paper.  I added some jewels and ribbon once the card was put together, as always it was an after thought ~ I always think that I need just one more thing to a card when I "think" that I'm done Ü
The sentiment inside is from TAC's Everyday Events that I stamped with Close to Cocoa ink on Close to Cocoa paper.  I used my Modern Label punch to punch the sentiment out and I layered it on to a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I punched out with my Marvy Super Jumbo Scallop Oval punch.

I still don't like the slider part.  When you open these cards it's fine, however when you go to close them the tab on the right side get's hooked up.  I have something different in the works for that so look for the tutorial tomorrow...

So that's all I've got for today ~ hope that you can wait til tomorrow for the tutorial.  Have a super great day an thanks for stopping by!!

Gotta few things to see....

I've got a few things for you to see today. No blah blah blah, just paper ~ how's that??
I was surfing he net yesterday and I stopped across this one blog - RemARKable Creations. Her work is wonderful, if you've not been there you've got to go check it out. Of course after you spend some time here *Ü* Anyway she had a post about some CD Folders that she made and I thought "I wanna make some". So I shared the idea with a friend and she asked if I'd make one for her - so here it is.
The basic instructions are listed on Jan's blog, but I didn't see how she put it together, the covers and all. She shows the insert that you make ~ it's 5" x 11" and you score it at 5", 5 1/2", 6", 6 1/2", 7", 7 1/2" and 8". So I was winging it from there. I love hers though, the colors are great together.
The one I made is for a pre-schooler that was graduating so I had to reach down into my stash - ok, I had to reach down in Danielle's stash of paper (shhhh, don't tell her) and pull out some kiddie paper. Heck, my daughter's 17 - I don't have any more kiddie paper... But I found some and I thought even though they are from different collections it turned out cute.

I thought that I'd put his name on the front cover so I cut those letters out with my Cricut Base Camp cartridge. I use that one for most of the lettering that I do, it's a nice font and it's easy to adhere. Then I covered the letters with stickles to give it a little "pop". Since I don't have a star punch I cut the stars out by hand and added some stickles around those edges too. For the inner pages I just adhered some paper and a few photo corners here and there. I stamped in a few places where there can be journaling added with my TAC set I Remember When. On the last page I stamped the little fishbowl from TAC's Everyday events and added some diamond glaze to it to make it look a little more realistic and I was done.

If you get a chance go check out Jan's blog too! Make sure that you let her know that I sent you.

My next card is a Father's Day card that I made for Ricky. I'm sure that I will have to make another from Danielle too, I don't mind. Guy cards are just a little tricky. I'm used to pretty colors and flowers and frills. You sure cant do that on guy cards.

Mom recently got the SU! set And Many Mower for Father's Day so I had to ink it up. I wanted to put the image of the lawn mower on the card. I actually had it stamped, colored and cut out and did not use it. I do that a lot then I toss them on Mom's desk. She's got a little envelope full of things that I did not use ~ she eventually uses them. It's easier on her. Anyway, I stamped the sentiment from And Many Mower and colored it in. It says "recliner, remote, refreshments" but I stamped the word "relax" colored it, cut it out and used pop dots to adhere it to the card. I thought that it was a little more appropriate. Then I pulled out my Let's Hear it for the Boy set from My Favorite Things. I stamped the image, colored it and cut it out and adhered it to the card. I did not like how the headless image sat on the card because I cut it out from the frame of the image so I stamped the frame from And Many Mower and used that ~ so now it all matches!

The base card is Kraft cs that I layered with Pacific Point and some DP from SU! old Spring Flowers collection. I kinda distressed the left side of the DP before adhering it. I took a length of ribbon and added a piece of Chocolate Chip to it and then added some small eyelets to the ends and adhered that to the card. All in all I think that it turned out manly enough, what about you?

I think that is all I have for right now. I'm working on a digi page to show you later. I hope that you have a great day!
Hugs,

Joani

How about a quickie?

I've been "pre-occupied" by web surfing today that I ran out of time. So instead of just saying I can't post anything for you today I am posting a quickie.
The card purse that I made the other day, well I made some quick note cards for it and I wanted to show you those.

The supplies I used for these were:
Cameo Coral, More Mustard, Orchid Opulence and some Eggplant cs.
I used the Parisian Summer DP from SU! (I think that might be my new favorite)
TAC I Remember When, Kid Praises and Everday Events stamp sets.
And I used my Marvy super, mega and giga scallop square punches. I've also doodled around some of the panels with my black gel pen.
This is what the purse looked like after I used some stickles on the chipboard pieces from American Crafts (that I got on sale from Big Lots for $1.00!!)

And this is what the purse looked like when I had it open with the notecards and envelopes inside.
Tomorrow I will show you what I made for my SIL.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Joani

Gloomy Friday

Today's a gloomy day. As I am writing this I am looking out the window it's gloomy, rainy and dreary.....

But what else brightens my day but talking to you all and stamping!! So on to the cards :)

I can't get enough of the little cow set's that theangelcompany™ has right now!! They are so adorable.

This card was pretty much a quick and simple one.

The base card is Real Red. I stamped the card with the cow print from An Udder Birthday with my Versamark pad. Then I took a piece of Basic Black, layered the cow print paper that I got years ago from Darcie's, added the red polka dot ribbon and adhered it to the card. I then stamped the little cow and colored it in with pencils. I sponged some Real Red around the edges, layered that on to a piece of Basic Black and glued that to the card. Lastly I stamped the words "an udder birthday" in black ink on the lower right corner and I was finished! See, told you quick and easy...

Here's another card that I've made with my new stamps. This is the Spring Dream set. Kinda funky flowers with that cool paisley print and some awesome swirls!!

The base card is Apricot Appeal. I layered a piece of DP from the Rustic Chic pad that I sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges. I then took another piece of DP from the same collection, sponged around the edges and layered on to a piece of Chocolate Chip cs. Before I added that to the card I added the little tag that say's 'happy birthday' from the Everyday Events set. I used my word window punch to cut out the saying, sponged Only Orange ink around the edges, added an eyelet and threaded some black hemp to attach it to the card. I then stamped the flower, colored it with pencils and sponged around the edges. I layered that on to a piece of Chocolate Chip cs and added it to the card. It was a little different at first, but the more I look at it I think that I like it.

I'm sorry that the word window punch was turned in the picture ~ I actually just noticed that.

I also wanted to share a RAK card that I received from a blogging friend in the Netherlands! You know how cool it is to get mail from far away. I just love to see things that others are doing.

This is from Joan over at Scrapmum. If you have a second take a peek at her blog. It's kinda cool! And it's neat to see how she has it in two different languages!

Thanks a lot Joan, it made my day!!!

OH! And one more thing. You may notice a little box at the bottom of my posts. Well that is something new that I thought I'd try. It's called click comments. You can run your mouse over the icons and click on what you think. It's something faster if you are not feeling like leaving a comment. Just something that I'm trying for now. Just enlighten me :)

Well, I'm off for now. Gonna go play with some stamps and then head off to the doctor ~ Mom's got another appointment. She's got arthritis in her hand and really does not know how much longer she may stamp with me ;(

Have a super day! It is what you make it!!!

Happy Birthday Cowboy!

I wanted to share this card with everyone because this little guy is so adorable! I'm just having so much fun with my new stamps!

There is a lady at my hubby's work who I made some cards for. Her daughter recently had a baby and she asked that I make the announcements ~ I couldn't resist. I really don't have a chance to make baby cards anymore. So she told my hubby that she has a booth at the Peddler's mall here in town. It's kinda like an indoor flea market, but this one is pretty much full of antiques more than garage sale items. She said that I could make some cards and put them in her booth if I wanted to. Well, heck ya!!! So, I've been on a card making kick! And what perfect timing ~ when I've got new stamps to work with!!!

This set is called Wild West and that little guy is just so darned cute! I stamped him and colored him in with pencils. The base card is Ballet Blue and I layered on it a piece of Brilliant Blue and a piece of DP from the Paper Patch that I sponged with Chocolate Chip ink. I stamped the stars, colored them in with my Summer Sun markers and then glittered them with yellow glitter. I cut each one out and glued them to the face of the card. I then layered the cowboy image on to a piece of Real Red cs. Before I layered that on to the card I stamped out the words 'Happy Birthday' in Brilliant Blue ink from the Everyday Events set on to a piece of Soft Sky that I used my Round Tab punch on and attached that to the back of the image panel. Once that was layered on to the card I stamped 'cowboy' under the image panel in Brilliant Blue ink and I was finished.

It was actually a quick card, even with cutting out all the little stars. I hope that you like it, and stop by tomorrow ~ I've got more to show you!!! Hope you have a great spring day, I will!!!

Happy Saturday!!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday!!! The day is a beautiful one here. The sun is shining and the birds are out & chirping. Then what the heck am I doing at the computer???

This card was made for a dear friend thanking her for an order that she placed with me. I wont mention names, but I'm sure that she will see it on here before she gets her order :)

I used an image from the Everyday Events set. I stamped it and colored it in with what else ~ pencils and gamsol.

The card base is Soft Sky. I layered that with a piece of Brilliant Blue that I used on the scor-pal. All the layers are done on the scor-pal but I am sorry for the picture ~ I think I need a new camera. I stamped the word 'thanks' all around on the blue panel. I then took a piece of DP from the Lilly Anna collection and used the scor-pal on the outer edges. I sponged Certainly Celery ink around the edges before I glued it down. I then added the image (outer edges done on the scor-pal and sponged with Brilliant Blue ink) and glued that down more to the right side. I took a piece of DP again from the Lilly Anna collection, used the scor-pal, sponged the edges and layered it on to a piece of Pink Passion paper. It looked blank so I added 3 eyelets and some scrap ribbon that I stapled on before I adhered it to the card. I'm sure she will like it.

I had some more cards that I wanted to make for my stampers 6 group that's coming up. So if your a part of this group close your eyes ;-)
I took the image (from what I think just may be my favorite set) stamped it and colored it with pencils. I sponged some Positively Pink ink around the edges and layered it on to a piece of Pixie Pink paper. I the took out my Uptown Girl pad and used those papers. I first took a piece of the DP and used the scor-pal, which once again is hard to see and adhered it to the Basic Black card. I then took the pink gingham checks out and sponged around it with black ink. I added a length of pink ribbon and secured that to the card a little more to the right of the 1st panel. I then took the image layer and glued that to the far right of both the other panels.
I still needed a saying so I stamped 'muchas-gracias' with Positively Pink, sponged around that layer and glued it to a piece of scrap Pixie Pink and taped it to the far left of the card. You can not see the inside but I taped a piece of white paper slightly smaller and doodled faux stitching around it ~ then I can write on the inside.
Well I must go now and try to enjoy the rest of the day! Tootles to you ~ until next time!

I love my new TAC™ stamps!

I cant say it enough!! I love love love my new stamps from theangelcompany™....

I've had my kit now for little over a week, and I am having so much fun with it. I have always been a Stampin Up lover ~ for as long as I've been stamping. I even pulled out a few of Stampin Up's foam stamps (for those of you who can remember that far back) the other day. And yes, SU! will always hold a place in my heart ~ but it has to make room now for my angel stamps!!

I guess I have been in a spring mood lately with all the bight and cheery colors. With the weather lately - the sun shinning, the birds chirping, it's been lovely. Of course like my hubby says "if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes" and of course, only in Kentucky! Today we are supposed to get a lot of rain. But the past few days have been wonderful. I think that I am going to stick the bird feeder out! Yes, they ate ALL of our sunflower seeds off the plants last year, but that's ok. They've got to eat too!

Ooops, the train de-railed again! I get so off track sometimes ;)

About the card, yes. That's what I was talking about ~ the cheery colors and such. Well, I just could not resist more cheerful-ness (and to a dear friend I left in California - I'm the perkier one!) I just had to use the yellows from my Brighten my Day pad.

I am trying to make a bunch of cards that have my TAC™ stamps on them. Of course I want to use them, but I want to make a few more to keep as samples to show. This card was actually made for a friend who just signed up with TAC™ under me. Already a downline! Yuppers, I am really happy about being an Angel, and I want to share that with others. So I made this little card to just say "hi" and thank her for signing up with TAC™.

The base card is So Saffron and I layered a piece of yellow dotted paper from the Brighten my Day collection that I sponged with So Saffron ink on top of that. I then took another piece of So Saffron and layered the yellow flowered paper that I sponged on top of that after I added a length of pink rick rak to it. I stamped the little chick from Little Friends, colored it with pencils and sponged around the outside also. I layered that on to a piece of Pink Passion cs and So Saffron cs. For the sentiment in the lower corner I stamped the "hi" from the Little Friends set on So Saffron and layered that on to a piece of Pink Passion scrap and I was thru.

I'm still not sure if I like this card or not. I LOVE the Purely Pomegranate paper, and I'm just as in love with the DP from Heidi Grace ~ but I still don't think that the chair goes well with it. But oh well! It will have to do.

The card base is Purely Pomegranate. I layered the DP from Heidi Grace on top of a piece of Wild Wasabi and distressed the edges. I also sponged some Old Olive ink around the DP. I also used my corner rounder on the top right of the card.

I stamped the image from Everyday Events and colored it in with pencils. The flowers are colored in with my SU markers. I used my Mega Scallop Circle Punch to punch out the image, then I sponged Old Olive ink around that. I then punched out the piece of Wild Wasabi with my Giga Scallop Circle Punch and used my white gel pen to doodle around that panel. Lastly I stamped the word "hello" from the Trendy Greetings set with my versamark pad and I was done!

Now I would like to show you a little basket that I made for my DD's teacher. She likes the little things that I make and I thought that this would be nice for Easter.

I can not take credit for it though. Yes, I did make it ~ but I first saw it on Leslie Millers blog Running with Scissors. You must check out her blog, it's amazing! Go there to check out the so simple, easy peasy instructions! These are so cute and quick and easy to do that you'll have a dozen done in no time!!

Well, that's enough for me today ~ I've got to go! Time to create.

See you back here tomorrow, same time ~ same place!
