Good morning everyone! I hope that today finds you all well.
Mrs. Betty stopped by yesterday. We really did not do anything crafty, we just sat and chatted. Betty took Mom and I out to lunch for Mother's Day yesterday. It was great. We've been here for almost 4 years now and there is a little diner in the middle of town that we've never been to, until yesterday. It's called Fava's. Just a little old diner. It's been there for years Betty said. Of course Danielle's been there ~ and she is always talking about their "frickles". They are deep fried pickles. Ok, me being a pickle lover I had to try them. They were ok, but we also got an order of their deep fried banana peppers. OMGoodness, they were awesome!! I so have to try that at home.
Ok, enough of that. Are you ready for something? I promised, and now I deliver. And remember that you can click on the picture to bring it up bigger if you need to.
This is for the lid of the box. You will first take a piece of DP cut at 5 1/8" square and score in 1" on all 4 sides and snip the paper at the edges up to the score line, this is where you will add your tape. If you'd like to decorate the lid or inside the lid do so before taping it together ~ it is a lot easier, trust me. 
Next you will take a 9" square piece of DP and score it at 3" and 6" turn a 1/2 turn and score at 3" and 6" again. Then the 4 corner pieces you will score down the center of those blocks diagonally.
You will then take a piece of 9" square card stock and do the same as the last, score it at 3" and 6", turn a 1/2 turn and score again at 3" and 6". After you've done that you will cut out the 4 corner pieces. I like to have all the "guts" to the project cut and scored before I start the decorating.
Now you will want to cut the pieces that you will use to decorate the inside of the box. Cut these pieces at 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Remember the pieces for the corners will have to be cut down the center diagonally.
You will now decorate your box and add the middle card stock piece to it. Remember to only glue the center bottom of the card stock piece so the "flaps" can still move. I did this one for my SIL and I did not have too many pictures, but I added matting and little journaling pieces so she can add them to it herself.
This is what it looks like when it is all folded up. Wanna know how I did the ribbon puff? Oh, it's so easy. It's something that I sat and did one day. I wanted a cut little puff of ribbons and thought how I'd get it to stick. Easy, easy....
I'm sorry, I thought that I took a picture of the swirl clip and didn't. But I take a swirl clip and strips of ribbon. This is great for those little strips that you have and don't want to toss because you know that there is something that you can do with them *Ü*You take a swirl clip and just thread a piece of ribbon thru it and tie a knot. Then take another piece of ribbon next to the last one and tie a knot. Make sure that you snip the ends so that they are all about the same size. Keep doing that until you can't fit any more ribbons into the clip.
Then I take my SU! pop up glue dots ~ I love those! ~ they are super sticky and I know that it won't come apart and add a glue dot under the clip, then attach it to a button then add another glue dot under that and stick it to whatever your project.Told ya, really easy!! I like to do that on the top of these boxes, it kinda makes a little handle to pull the lid off with. And with those glue dots you know that it will not come off.
