What a terrible blogger I am...

I should be beat with a wet noodle!  I've been such a terrible blogger lately.  Not that it's holiday related ~ just life and family.  I told hubby last night that I've not really been on the computer since Thanksgiving and I think he almost did not believe me.

I have been working on a couple of things.  Since my time is a little limited I have one ready to show you.

I can not take the credit for this - well, this yes ~ but not the original idea.  I saw this over at Carolina's Creative Pad.  I had made up a bunch of the snowman soups to sell at the bazaars and they were not as popular as I thought.  So I pulled them apart (which is a hard thing to do when you've put time into a project) and just re-purposed them.

I'm not sure if I read her directions wrong or if I was just confused, but her "cups" open like a regular card from the side.  Mine open from the top down.  Oh well, I think that they turned out adorable.  Let's pray that these may sell...

Other than this I've made a few more things that I still have to picture.  I hope to be back tomorrow to do that.  We are going to be putting up the tree this weekend.  And Danielle went to an interview the other day and she got a job.  Nothing major, but she's been wanting to get a job for a long time now and you've got to be 18 to work at most places here in town - at least every place she's tried to apply.

That's what I've been up to.  What have you been doing?

Have a great day!  I'll be back tomorrow, I promise.

It's Monday!

Good morning everyone!  How did you survive your weekend?  I hope that everything went well and you had a safe one.

I had all good intentions of popping in and posting this weekend and I didn't ~ I'm sorry.  Life just get's in the way sometimes.

Are you ready for something?  Well you all know how I've been working on things for the upcoming craft fair, right?  Well it is next week and I'm feeling a little nauseated just thinking about it.  It is really nerve racking.  My whole fear is that I won't have enough even though I'm sure that I have plenty.  I'd love to sell out of everything but I'm sure that I will be bringing it home with me.  If that's the case I'm going to have a yard sale! he he he...

Here ya go:

Isn't this just the cutest thing.  I found it on the web someplace and I can not remember where - If you know please let me know so I can give proper credit.

The base is Not Quite Navy that I layered with some Purely Pomegranate.  I stamped the snowflakes with a wheel from SU and the snowman is from Great Impressions.  I colored my snowman with my pencils, gamsol and markers.  The snowman is attached with a pop dot for a little more dimension.

Here is an up close view so you can see it.  The kisses are held inside with just a strip of double sided tape.

This is another one that I had made.  I used some light blue card stock that I had and some Purely Pomegranate paper.  The stamps are from Close to My Heart called Snow Friends.  I colored them with my markers and added a little stickles to the falling snow.

You like?  I think that they are adorable.  I hope that people will like them or I'll be eating lots of Hershey's kisses Ü

I hope that you all have a great day!

Yum-my Mummy...

I just have to show you these little treat holders that Danielle made.  She works in the day care at her school for a few hours each day.  The teacher in there asks her to do activities with the kids and Danielle likes to make things for them too.  I can't remember if I've posted anything that she's made yet or not ~ but yesterday she made these.

Now you all know how to make these treat holders out of toilet tissue or paper towel rolls, right?  Well she wanted to make some that looked like mummy's.  I thought it was perfect too because I have a set from The Angel Company that says "Yummy Mummy" and it went well.

First she took the tissue rolls and cut them in half.  Then she ripped strips of white cs and inked the edges of them and then glued them to the roll.  For the bottom she punched out a scallop circle with the Marvy punch in Really Rust and glued the tissue holder down to it.  Then she stamped the sentiment "yummy mummy" from The Angel Company's Bone Appetit T-3216 cut the words apart and glued them to the piece of Really Rust.  She stamped the mummy from The Angel Company set Trick or Treaters T-2795 and lightly colored it with a pencil then glued it on to the tag then attached it to the treat holder.

The only thing I would of made different was the inside of the treat holder ~ I  think that I would of covered it, but hey that's just me.  I am going to fill these for her today.  They are for little one's - toddler age so we got some goldfish crackers for them.  Kinda cute, huh?

I wanted to show you Danielle's project today.  If you have any questions just ask.  Have a super great day!

I'm back with a few things....

Howdy everyone! I'm back to show you a few things that I've been up to.

My daughter is feeling better. She's still sore. Which is to be expected. And I'm not sure that she's wanting to get in a car all too soon, and I'm thankful for that. I want to keep her a little girl a bit longer. I know that's not possible, but just a little longer....
My doggie is feeling better. We took her bandage off and she has a tube in her ear. It has to stay there for 3 weeks - but she's doing better. At least she does not "look" as pathetic as she did with the bandage on.
Well ~ here's what I've been up to.

I was not sure how Halloween would go over at my booth at the Peddler's Mall so I only took a few cards over there and these 2 packages of treat bags that I made.

They are made out of regular envelopes. I stamped on them and added the ribbon and such. I took some lightweight paper to make the shredded paper at the bottom of the bag. There are 5 in each bag. I don't know ~ what do you think?

My daughter told me that this year she "likes her teachers" so that means that I get to make things for them. So this is the cards that I made for them for Halloween.

I stamped the image from Best Fiends and colored it with my watercolor crayons. The base card is Basic Black. I layered it with Only Orange and some DP from Moxie. I took the image and swiped it across my black pad before I layered it on to Basic Black and I attached it to the card with pop dots. The saying "Happy Haunting" is from my TAC set Happy Haunting.

This card I came up with the other day and I thought that I posted it and didn't.
The base card is Basic Black. I layered it with Only Orange and some DP that was in my drawer. I don't know why manufactures don't have their name on the paper someplace...
I stamped the images in black from SU! Home is where the Haunt Is on the two panels. I sponged Only Orange around the panels then layered those panels with Basic Black and Only Orange. Before adding the layers to the card I ran a length of black ribbon around the bottom panel. The house panel I placed on the card with pop dots. So what do you think???
That's all for today. I am going to go get started on something ~ anything. And I'm sure that I will show you tomorrow!!
Hugs,
Joani
