My late Mojo...

A few weeks back I was going to take part in the Mojo Monday challenge.  I had all good intentions on it.  I had my card made in time, I just neglected to post it.  So now cleaning out my camera I noticed that I had not posted it ~ so here goes.  A day late, a dollar short...

This was for the Mojo Monday sketch 142.  My base card is Certainly Celery that I layered with Basic Black and some old DP from SU!.  I punched the edges of the DP and the Basic Black with the embossed diamond punch from Martha Stewart (thanks Betty!!).  I then added the ribbon to the panel before I adhered it to the card.  I stamped the image from my Fresh Cuts set with black ink and used my chalks to add a little color here and there.  I layered that on to a piece of Certainly Celery and Basic Black ~ I then added a couple of little scraps of ribbon to the back before adhering the panel down to the card.  I took a couple of rhinestone jewels and added them to the panel where the ribbon meets the image.  I added a butterfly and some more jewels to the top right side for a little more bling.

Once the card was all put together I added some stickles to the front panel here and there and I was  complete.

Do you like??  I hope so, that's why I do it ~ to share ideas with everyone.

To hold you over...

I thought that I'd share of couple of things with you to hold you over while I'm making up the tutorial for you on the bunny boxes.

I'm sure that you may of seen these already ~ but I still want to share with you.  The Mojo Monday and Midnight Madness sketches.  I've been busy lately...  again...  Danielle took some of my cards to school with her to show to her teacher (teacher, meaning one) or so I thought.  She showed them to all of her teachers and I had almost 50 cards to make last week!!  I'm grateful, however I was not prepared for it.  So I hope to be able to participate in the Mojo and MM sketches again, soon.  So here goes, just in case you've not seen them.

I'd love to see what you come up with using these sketches. 

Oh, and I just received an email update from Mel Stampz.  I just love her blog, she's amazing!!  I have no idea how she finds all of what she writes about.  Most definatley an amazing source of info.  Anyway she shows how to make your own prima flowers!!  Make sure that you give her a shout!!

So I hope that this holds you over for a little while.  I'll be working on the tutorial and I'll post it. 

OH!  And how do you like my blog so far?  Anything that you'd like to see or maybe not see?  Let me know ~ your input is important to me.

I know, I know... Late again ~ but at least I attempted it.  I've got another new set from The Angel Company called The Joy of Easter.  Just like Valentines day, I have not purchased any new stamps for Easter.  So when the new Serendipity came out and I saw this set I had to purchase it!!  And when I saw the Mojo Monday sketch this week I knew just what set to use, I just had to sit down long enough to use it!

So here is the sketch.  I really liked this one, I'm sure that I will use it again in the future!

Here is my version.  You like it? 

The base card is Pixie Pink and I layered it with DP from The Angel Company called Catelynne.  It is one of my most favorite collections!  I stamped the images from TAC's The Joy of Easter and colored them in with pencils and gamsol.  All the images were cut out with different nesties.  The top and lower borders were punched with my new scallop punch from SU! then I added some jewels to it between the scallops.  The layer of Bashful Blue was run thru my CB with the Swiss Dots folder. For the center I used ribbon instead of paper.  I think that it turned out nice, how about you?

Hi everyone!  I just finished some cards that I made ~ yes, for Valentines ~ and I thought I'd play along with the Mojo Monday sketch today.  Hope you like it!

The picture looks a little fuzzy, don't it?  See the the flower in the middle?  That is so easy to do, but it takes a little time.  I found it over at Gabby's blog - but now I can't find the link that she had it posted from...  and I'm not sure you can tell, but I used some shimmer paint on the hearts on the cuppy cake.   

I kind of knocked out two birds with one stone you might say.  Over at my YUKU side, Cards Made by Hand (surprising huh??) I had a pink, black and white challenge. 

I just wanted to stop in really quick and post this.  I hope that you like it - and go to Mojo Monday and participate, the sketches sure do give you some inspiration!

Mojo Monday Mojo98

I'm going to start this post off with an I'm sorry... I should of posted this Monday, but to be honest it was not completed.

If there is any of you who participate in the Mojo Monday sketch challenges this is an awesome sketch. If you don't you should. It really gives you lots of inspiration. I used to look forward to the sketches every Wednesday on SCS but now that I've found the Mojo Monday and even the Midnight Madness sketches it's almost like an overload in my brain!

This sketch is a great one, and I'm going to use it again I'm sure. This is the sketch for Mojo98.
And here is my version of the sketch. I think that it is a little washed out. The weather has been gloomy and dreary here for a few days so I think that it kinda came thru on my card.

The base card is Pacific Point that I layered with Baja Breeze and grey cs. The DP was from Betty and I'm not sure who it's from. I used my nesties to cut and emboss the layers and the background piece I ran thru my CB with the devine swirls folder. The stamped sentiment is from SU! All Year Cheer I that I stamped in Bordering Blue, I kinda thought it looked a little grey. I added some ribbon and a brad and I was complete.

Like I said, I think that the weather has a way of altering my mood.

Mojo Friday?

Mojo Friday?? Nope, Mojo Monday just 5 day's late...

I had all good intentions on getting my version of the sketch done Monday but those little stationary set's threw me for a loop. I l♥ve making those. I will post later today all the other ones that I've made. You'll think I've gone mad!!

Well here's the sketch that was posted over at Mojo Monday. I really love this one, and I think that I may use it often.

So here is my version of the sketch. There is something that I had to pop in the mail today and I thought that I'd make it a RAK day too.

I pulled out one of my old SU! set's Best of Cluck and thought that I'd use it. It has not seen ink in a while and I thought I'd condition it *Ü*

The base card is Riding Hood Red that I layered with Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and the yummy DP from The Angel Company called Catelynne. It's my favorite one. I stamped the image from Best of Cluck and colored it in with my pencils and gamsol. Following the sketch I used my nesties to cut the circles out for the images and my 1" and 3/4" circle punches for the words. I hand made the photo corner at the top left like I've shown you before and the sentiment was stamped and added to a piece of Pink Pirouette that I cut out the right edge like a flag. A little gem here and there and I was complete.

I've been pre-occupied today with things, so I'm sorry that my posts are a little late. But better late than never.

Whew, this week seems to of flown by! It's already Friday. Where does the time go?

And yes, it's Friday and I'm just finishing the Mojo Monday sketch. Isn't that awful. I've been trying to stay on top of it, but I was bad this week.

You wanna see what I came up with? Here goes...

This was this weeks sketch. Cute huh?

Now here is what I came up with. I left out the bow, but other than that it's pretty close. The stamp that I used is a stamp that I've had forever. Actually it is a stamp of Danielle's ~ but she'll never know *Ü* It is from Penny Black and it is called Minding Shelty. I am in a swap on my Yuku site called Travel. Ok, no ~ I don't travel by horse but I'm sure that some do.

The base card is Creamy Caramel. I layered it with Baroque Burgundy, Soft Sky and some DP from Friskars and DCWV Old World Mat Stack. The image and background were cut out with my Nesties. I used some lace ribbon (that I love BTW) that was purchased from Big Lots and some paper flowers. I also did the stitching on my sewing machine.

I think it turned out ok. The card dimensions are 5" x 5" so I had to make an envelope ~ which was fine because I have a template and it only took a minute to zip out!

If you have not yet you should really try the Mojo Monday sketches. I look forward to the ones each Wednesday on SCS but finding these helps out a lot too! It just gives you that kick in the rump of inspiration that you sometimes need.

Hello everyone!

So sorry for the late post today ~ just busy with life.

Today was kind of a run around day. Mom had another appointment and we went to lunch. Took Danielle to her boyfriends - just puttered around town. Then I came home and saw the sketch over at Mojo Monday. Had to take part in that. So after watching hubby do this hilarious dance out side....

Ok, let me explain. If it was not for the fact that I need to charge up my camera's batteries I would of taken a movie of it. Remember his birdhouse? Well it seems that the birds are making more nests in it, that's great. But in one of the holes there is a hornets nest, and it's kind of big. Not wanting to spray anything in there he decided that he was going to suck it out with the vacuum. Well, he tried his little car vac, nope that would not fit. He tried my electric broom that comes apart. Nope. Then he tried his shop vac and the attachments, yippie!!

So here he was in the yard with the shop vac and the hose with a stick trying to break up the nest. Yes, just as you thought ~ the hornets got mad. So here he is in the yard with a stick and the hose and all I can see is him doing this fencing kind of move like he's in a sword fight with someone. It was hilarious!!! I so wish the batteries were charged ~ it was one of those America's Funniest Video moments!!

The stamp image is from The Angel Company's set called Barnyard Birthday. I added some ribbon, stickels, brads and jewels to the card. The sentiment I cut out with my nesties. I hope that it inspires you!

Mojo Monday Mojo94

Howdy everyone! I hope that your long holiday weekend was a safe and wonderful one.

Did you happen to notice the new button on the right sidebar for Mojo Monday? I thought that I'd post that there for you all to try. I figured with my lack of mojo it might help me, so I'd thought that I'd show you what I came up with this week.

But first the sketch.

Now my version:

The base card is Creamy Caramel that I layered with Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa and Rustic Chic DP from TAC. I stamped the swirl from my Butterfly Swirls set in Certainly Celery and then the bird from my Friends set in Close to Cocoa ink. I colored in bits and pieces of the bird with my watercolor crayons. I then stamped the word 'hello' from the Friends set in Close to Cocoa and sponged some ink around that layer before I adhered it on to the scallop circle that I punched out of Close to Cocoa cs.

For the inside I layered a piece of Certainly Celery and white cs with a scrap from the Rustic Chic collection and I was complete.

I hope to have some pictures of July 4th for you tomorrow. I still have to process them.
