sneeky peeky

ahhh, another little peeky for you.... Hmm, what could this be?
Your going to have to wait til Monday for this one...

More fun, fun, fun!

Remember yesterday and the stationary sets? Well here's some more to show you. I really got carried away with these. They are so much fun to make, and super easy! I thought that I'd show you the rest of them that I made. Some have the little note pads and some have post it notes, I ran out of the note pads... They are on my list though....
Here I have this one in Riding Hood Red, Ballet Blue, Green Galore and Summer Picnic DP. I knew that I was saving that for something *Ü*
These are done with Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Delicate Dots DP. I have lots of that paper.
Some of the same, just moved around different.
These are done in Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Candy Lane DP and Sweet Always DP.
I used my Martha Stewart punch, SU! Scallop border punch, Marvy scallop oval punch, wide oval punch and my scor-pal on each of these sets.
Fun huh?
I hope that these bring you some inspiration for the weekend. I'd love to see what you can come up with ~ if you do post me a comment so I can see.

Double the fun!!

Just some business for the afternoon.

I have someone who would like to go in on this deal if there is someone else who would like to do it. Just spend $50.00 and you will receive a Level A hostess set and one 1/2 price item from the current catty. It's a workshop for 1/2 the price.
If you are interested please let me know.

Mojo Friday?

Mojo Friday?? Nope, Mojo Monday just 5 day's late...

I had all good intentions on getting my version of the sketch done Monday but those little stationary set's threw me for a loop. I l♥ve making those. I will post later today all the other ones that I've made. You'll think I've gone mad!!

Well here's the sketch that was posted over at Mojo Monday. I really love this one, and I think that I may use it often.

So here is my version of the sketch. There is something that I had to pop in the mail today and I thought that I'd make it a RAK day too.
I pulled out one of my old SU! set's Best of Cluck and thought that I'd use it. It has not seen ink in a while and I thought I'd condition it *Ü*
The base card is Riding Hood Red that I layered with Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and the yummy DP from The Angel Company called Catelynne. It's my favorite one. I stamped the image from Best of Cluck and colored it in with my pencils and gamsol. Following the sketch I used my nesties to cut the circles out for the images and my 1" and 3/4" circle punches for the words. I hand made the photo corner at the top left like I've shown you before and the sentiment was stamped and added to a piece of Pink Pirouette that I cut out the right edge like a flag. A little gem here and there and I was complete.
I've been pre-occupied today with things, so I'm sorry that my posts are a little late. But better late than never.
Have a great afternoon!

Anyone interested?

Just doing some business...

I was sitting here thinking the other day (scary....) and I thought that TAC is having their double rewards program and most people don't have that $100.00 to spend all at once. My idea was what if you could only spend $50.00 and have the same benefits?

TAC™ Promos
www.theangelcompany.net

If you would like to spend $50.00 I can match you up with someone else who would like to spend $50.00 and you can each have the benefits. You would each receive your Level A hostess set and also one 1/2 price item from the catty. That's anything in the catty at 1/2 price. Been waiting for a sale on that BIA or still have not got that scor-pal? Well, here ya go!

If you are interested let me know. I will keep track of everyone who would like to place a $50.00 order and still reap the benefits. What a great way to add to your stamp collection without having a full party.

Here it is...

Here it is. This is what the sneek peeks have been about the past couple of days. I've been working on these non stop. They are so easy to make and such fun to do. I first saw them over at Inking Idaho ~ her blog is so AMAZING! I wanna be just like her when I grow up *Ü*

This is one side of the stationary holder. The other side also has a pocket. The both hold 2 cards each. All the cards are displayed.
This particular holder is made with Pacific Point, So Saffron, Old Olive and Delicate Dots DP. I used the stamp sets Because of You and Sincere Salutations. The punches I used were the wide oval, scallop oval, scallop border, corner rounder and Martha Stewart. I've got some discontinued Old Olive 1/4" ribbon and some white ribbon also. I also covered a mini notebook and added some DP to the inside of the pen. There is a velcro dot that I cut in 1/2 to close the set up.

This is the inside of it. There is a little pocket to hold envies and a notepad and pen to jot down notes.

So wadda ya think? Cute right? Once all the pieces are cut they go together in no time flat. I've made some for Mom to take to her last (hopefully) eye doctor appointment tomorrow. It's been a month already. I've made some for my Stamper's group, I've made some for friends. I can't stop making them!! I will show you more of them later. I've got a basket full!
Hope your having a crafty day!

Happy Almost Friday!

I don't know how happy this weekend will be... Hubby's got to work on Saturday and Sunday I've got to take Danielle school clothes shopping. The worst chore in the world. I would rather clean the floors with a toothbrush. Mothers are supposed to love shopping with their daughters. It's something we look forward to. When they are older and you can stroll thru the mall with them just chatting and bonding. Nope, not me. I don't know what it is but when Danielle is shopping it is like pure hell... It's not just me. For one of her birthdays I took her to the mall with one of her friends and her friend hated it. Another friend went shopping with her and said "Danielle I love you but your ridiculous!". Truth, I swear...

So now that you know my pain for this weekend, is there anyone who needs some teeth pulled ~ I'd rather take your place...

I thought that I'd show you a card that I needed to make for a swap that I was in on my Yuku site. The swap was called 'Down on the Farm' and the perfect stamp came to mind. I've had this stamp for years... really. I bought this stamp years ago when I first started stamping. I think that I've used it maybe twice. And all it says on the stamp is Limited Edition 1995.

The stamp even gives directions *Ü* I think that's why I bought it in the first place...
The base card is Chocolate Chip (of course) that I layered with some Soft Sky and DP from TAC's Rustic Chic collection. I stamped the image and water colored it. I also colored in the wheel portion and then cut it out. Once cut out I used my hand held punch to make the little notches in the wheel so it would be easier to turn. If you look in the up close picture I added some fun flock to the sheep so they'd be fuzzy. I added the whole image panel on to the card with foam tape so you can spin it easier. The little chicken sitting in the middle of the card is a brad cover. A little stickles on the flowers and I was done. OH! The card is actually 5" x 5" ~ I had to make an envelope too. So wadda ya think??
I'm off or now. I will be back a little bit later to post more - I'll show you my sneek peek... as promised.

Another peek...

I know, I'm bad.... But here is another sneek peek at what I've been up to this week. I've been a busy little beaver I'll tell ya!
Tomorrow I promise I'll show you what this is all about!
Have a great evening.

Happy Birthday Betty!!

I think that it's safe to say that I can post this now. Happy Birthday Betty!!! So you want me to sing?? Ok, no.. Good thing there's no sound on this post *Ü*
This is the card that I made for Betty for her birthday. The base card is Ballet Blue that I layered with Pixie Pink and DP from Imaginisce. The stamped image is one of my favorites that I own from Whipper Snapper, it's my go to stamp for birthdays. And I had to add stickles to the card for some "bling" ~ Betty loves "bling".
Happy Birthday dear friend!!
Good Morning everyone! I hope that today finds you well.

Remember when I mentioned that blogger was acting funny, well it still is. Unless it's me, I don't know. I add pictures and try to move them and it won't let me. Is anyone else having that problem? I'm just making a new post each time I post a picture for now.
This is a little purse that I've been working on. I first saw this over at Inking Idaho. Isn't it adorable? When I grow up I want to be just like her!! She is so creative and amazing. Ok, here's a true story.

We went last weekend to a house of one of Ricky's co-workers. She gave us a whole bag of blackberries - oh, yumola!! And I wanted to make a little something to thank her (the sneek peeks I'm giving you) for being so nice. Well Ricky went to work on Monday and gave it to her and she said "Oh how cute. Where does your wife come up with these ideas?" Ok, being the wonderful, loving, sweet husband he is ~ Ricky said "she steals them off the Internet". Um, hell-o!! No, no I don't. I actually bought that one *Ü*

Husbands. Can't live with them can't live without them.

So anyway, on with it....

When I saw this on Becky's site I just had to have it. And when I make the first one of something I like to use my really outdated papers or what I call the "crap" papers. I've got some 12 x 12 paper that I bought at Big Lots that I generally use. But this one looked kinda easy so I pulled out a sheet of Pixie Pink cs and some SU! retired DP called Rebecca. I also used Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette on the cards.
The stamp that I used was from the Basket of Kindness set and I also used the SU! die Flower Layers #3 to cut out the flowers.
I should of taken a picture of it from the top. It has a little box inside to fit the cards. So, wadda ya think???
I made another one for Danielle to take to a friend for her birthday. She filled it with candy. I guess if it is ok for a teenager to give away then it passes the test!
So I'm off. I hope you stop by Becky's blog and take a look. You are sure to get LOTS of inspiration from her.

Sneek Peek

Just a little tease for you...

As long as blogger cooperates, I might show this to you tomorrow...

Have a great evening!!

Milk it Baby!

A friend of mine had a little procedure done the other day and I wanted to make a card for her. She's always busy, busy, busy. If they ever needed to make more hours in the day she could use them.

When I was talking with her she said that it was really no big deal and she'd be home in no time. Well I mentioned to her that she needed to milk it for all she could. Then it hit me, I had a stamp that said that. Of course I had to use it. Then I thought I had cow print paper & a cow stamp... Oh we all know where this is going, don't we?
The base card is Basic Black that I layered with Real Red, SU! Summer Picnic and Darcie's cow print paper. I stamped the images from SU! Comfort Food and TAC's SWAK and colored them in with pencils and gamsol. I then punched them out with my marvy punches. The saying I stamped in Real Red ink, punched out with my 3/4" circle punch and layered it on to a 1" Basic Black circle and then again on to a piece of Real Red that I punched out with my designer label punch. I added some dots with my gel pen and I didn't forget the ribbon, she loves ribbon! I thought that it turned out cute, don't you?
I'm off to create something ~ see you back here later!

Calling all shoppers, calling all shoppers!

I just thought that I would put in a plug for my dear friend Gabby. She does not know that I am doing this, so shhhh. Don't tell her.....

She's had a bad time of things lately, and her Mom just passed. She has some bills that need taking care of and she's selling off some of her beloved stamps. If you feel it in your heart, take a peek over at her blog and see what she's got. If you click on her banner above you can be taken to her sale.
Thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning

Did you all survive the weekend? I did ~ even though we had some serious thunder storms. And of course I don't care for them. They've always scared me to death.

Other than that my weekend was not too eventful - so shall we get down to business?

I want to first show you a card that I made for a friend for her birthday. I should of showed it to you a while ago, and actually I forgot about it.
The card above was made for my friend Rita's birthday. The base card is Pixie Pink and I layered it with Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and some DP from Memory Box. I stamped the image from Perfectly Clear Stamps the Changito Birthday and colored him in with pencils and gamsol. I then layered that with a piece of Pink Pirouette that I cut out with my nesties and pierced the scallop edges. I stamped the present in Positively Pink ink and used some stickles to brighten it up. I punched that out with my 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches and attached it to the card. I think that she liked it.
I'm not sure if it's my computer or not but I'm having issues with posting pictures. It won't let me move them around. I "upgraded" my Internet Explorer the other day (which I wish I didn't) and now things are all different and I'm having to learn new things. So my posting might be a little sporadic.
Here's to wishing you a great day!

Livestrong.org

I've slacked on posting this, shame on me.

One of my dear friends Bobbie from CA had sent me an e-mail a while back. It was a picture of her hubby and daughter. Bobbie's husband has been fighting cancer for quite a while. The picture is of him that was taken at their granddaughter's volley ball tournament after he walked for 4 days in the heat.
If you go to the Livestrong.org page you will see that his daughter dedicated a page to him. This is what is says on the page:
"My Dad has been fighting bladder cancer for 16 years. He has also had colon and prostate cancer. He loves life and does what needs o be done to live. He is strong yet gentle. Smart but willing to learn. He is giving to all that need a hand. He is my Dad and I love him so."
Please if you can go visit his page at Livestrong.org and if you can donate, even if it's a little. Cancer is such a bad thing, it seems to effect everyone. I hope and pray that someday they will find a cure.

Retired SU sets for sale

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more
I just wanted to post a note to let everyone know that I am selling some of my retired SU! sets. There is quite a list - and if you take a look at the top of my sidebar you will see them.

Each (except for 2) one is linked to the SCS gallery so you can click on it and see what is in the set. All of my sets are unmounted as I have described in a past post. If your new to my blog or if you need a refresher, please click HERE. It shows how I have unmounted my sets and how they are stored.

I have taken all of my SU! sets and removed the grey foam that comes with them and replaced it with the EZ Thin Mount black cushion. Just about all of the set's have been use, with the exception of a few. There may be some staining on the rubber but it does not effect the stamped image.

I also beleive that they are very reasonably priced. Most of them are at least 1/2 off if not more. I prefer to mail within the US - shipping is cheaper and the responsibility of the buyer. I will ship outside the US - I am not familiar with the shipping costs but I will find the cheapest way possible. If you are interested let me know and I will charge you exact shipping costs.

If you have any questions please ask, and if you would like a picture of the set by all means just ask - I will send a picture to you.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Every have an ah-HA moment?

Have you ever had one of those ah-HA moments? I did!

I've always tried to take my new catties to the office supply store to have them wire bound. They seem to flip pages better, you can fold them over so they don't take so much room - it's just neater all around.

Well a couple of days ago I thought "dummy. You have a Bind-It-All". Yes, yes I do!!!

So I took my catties to the UPS store here in town and had them cut the glued spine off and I came home and punched the holes and wire bound it myself.

The Angel Company is having another one of their double rewards sales right now and if you place an order of $100.00 you can get not only one but TWO hostess Level A sets AND not one but TWO 1/2 off items in the catty! How cool is that!!! If you wanted you could get the Bind it All and the Scor-Pal ~ or whatever else in the catty you'd like for 1/2 off!

If you are interested just leave me a comment or e-mail me at joanmcdonald@roadrunner.com

Have a great rest of your day!!

Happy Friday

Good morning everyone!!

Whew, this week seems to of flown by! It's already Friday. Where does the time go?

And yes, it's Friday and I'm just finishing the Mojo Monday sketch. Isn't that awful. I've been trying to stay on top of it, but I was bad this week.

You wanna see what I came up with? Here goes...

This was this weeks sketch. Cute huh?

Now here is what I came up with. I left out the bow, but other than that it's pretty close. The stamp that I used is a stamp that I've had forever. Actually it is a stamp of Danielle's ~ but she'll never know *Ü* It is from Penny Black and it is called Minding Shelty. I am in a swap on my Yuku site called Travel. Ok, no ~ I don't travel by horse but I'm sure that some do.

The base card is Creamy Caramel. I layered it with Baroque Burgundy, Soft Sky and some DP from Friskars and DCWV Old World Mat Stack. The image and background were cut out with my Nesties. I used some lace ribbon (that I love BTW) that was purchased from Big Lots and some paper flowers. I also did the stitching on my sewing machine.

I think it turned out ok. The card dimensions are 5" x 5" so I had to make an envelope ~ which was fine because I have a template and it only took a minute to zip out!

If you have not yet you should really try the Mojo Monday sketches. I look forward to the ones each Wednesday on SCS but finding these helps out a lot too! It just gives you that kick in the rump of inspiration that you sometimes need.

That's all for now. I should be back later to post a little something else.

I never showed you...

I never showed you the digi page that I made from scratch, did I?

It was my very first page that I actually created myself. "Paper" and all. But first, our town has a huge fireworks display on the 4th. There are cars that line up on the side of the roads and everything. The past few years we've heard music too - but not this year. And of course the past couple of years it's rained on us too! We were sitting aside the road waiting for the show to start and I glanced over and saw these two birds sitting on the fence. Of course I had to grab the camera and snap a picture. I'm not sure what kind of birds they are since I've just started to love bird and watching them. If someone knows can you tell me??
And my digi page. Cool huh? I made every thing on the page but the two frames. Those are fireworks from this years show. Mom just had her eye surgery a couple of days before that's why she's wearing the patch. Danielle said that it looks like a cheese grater - it really did! And that's the BBQ we had. Luckily we have a little porch overhang that we can stand under or we would of been wet!
I hope you enjoy. Now I'm off to create something that I can show you tomorrow!

Good Morning!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope today finds you rested and well.
As I mentioned yesterday I wanted to show you the coupon holder that I made, and how I made it. I had wanted something to put in my purse for a while to keep my coupons in. Of course I'm sure that I will still not pay attention and they will expire anyway!!
Make note: If for some reason you can not see the picture just click on it to bring it up larger then hit your back arrow to bring you back here.
The first thing that you will do is cut 2 pieces of patterned or DP 4 1/8" wide x 12" long. Place it on your scor-pal and score it at 2", 4", 6" & 10" then turn the paper over and score it at 1", 3", 5", 7" and 11". Now you will fold your paper with the valley and mountain folds (accordion style) very crisp, use your bone folder if you must.
I used white cs, but you can use whatever you like for this part. You will cut 6 pieces of cs 4 1/2" wide by 4 1/8" tall. You can use your 1 1/4" circle punch and insert it 1/2 way into the cs at the center point to make the tab's. Now you will take your cs pieces and apply your adhesive to the front side and glue them inside your accordion folded paper on both sides.
This is what it should look like when this step is complete. This is easy so far, right? Once you get this step done the rest is a piece of cake!

Now you will take a piece of 4 1/2" x 12" piece of matching DP and score it at 4 1/8", 4 5/8", 8 6/8" & 9"*** Now you will take your accordion center piece and apply adhesive along the front and back sides as shown and attach to your long DP.***Please make sure that these dimensions are correct BEFORE attaching your center file piece. I am doing this from memory since I seemed to of lost my directions...

To close the file you can use a piece of Velcro, a magnet or even make a cute belly band to keep it closed. That is your choice, and the possibilities are endless!! The paper that I've used here is from The Angel Company called Bella Flor.

So ~ how do you like that? That's what I made for my Stampers 6 group last party. You want one? Become one of my Stamper's 6 group and you can look forward to goodies each "party".

Have a great day!

Coupn holder?

I think that it was my last Stampers Group that I made these for. Isn't that awful. It was not that long ago. I so need to clean my camera out more often.
I wanted to make a little coupon holder for my purse. I am always tucking coupons in here and there in my purse, only to find them after they have expired. Well for my last stampers group I made these to send out to the ladies. And no, I didn't make one for myself ~ but it does not surprise me.
This is some of the little things that I do for my customers when they sign up for a Stampers group with me. Each "party" I make a little something to go with the order, it's my way of saying thanks!!
I do have a tutorial that I made up to make these, and I will post it tomorrow. Just a little sneek peek to keep you interested *Ü*
Have a great day!

I'm looking for a....

I'm looking for a few people to join in my next go round of my stampers club.

Let me explain....

What a Stamper's 6 group is - basically 6 people who all promise to purchase at least $20.00 of The Angel Company product for 6 months, and each take turns at being a hostess. When it is your month as hostess - you will get the benefits of getting at least a Level 1 hostess set, and at least one 1/2 off item out of the catty! It could be a stamp set or a Bind it All or heck, even a scor-pal. And not to mention the "goodies" that I make for you each month!!

If you are interested, please shoot me an e-mail or submit a comment to this post!

So sorry!

I'm so sorry it's been a while since I posted. I knew that last week would be a wacky one with hubby home. But I've got a few things that I'd like to show you... So ready or not, here it is...

Last weekend we went to a gathering in Northern Kentucky. On SCS there is a forum where you can search or even start a thread about getting together with others in the area to stamp or scrap or whatever. We went back in April when we went it was decided to do it again, and this time it was Christmas in July. I want to show you what this group of VERY talented ladies made. There was 15 of us total. I was blown away with all the talent that these ladies have. And all these punches! Look at these cards with all the punches. I would never of thought of those!! But now I know what I will be making for Christmas this year *Ü*

I've had my card done for a while but I did not post it because I did not want to show it in case one of the ladies was looking. So here is mine...
First let me say that I am sorry for the bad picture, I don't know what is wrong with the camera. Sometimes it takes great pictures ~ sometimes it doesn't.
The base card is Pacific Point (I loaded up on this before it went away!) and I layered it with Riding Hood Red (yes, I did the same as the Pacific Point) and DP from Darcies. I had to call them to order more - I've had some for years, but not enough for 18 card sets.
I stamped the image and colored the smore, cup and the penguins feet with pencils and gamsol. I then colored the hats and cheeks with markers. I then used stickles on the marshmallow and cut the image out with my nesties and inked the edges with Real Red ink. The white piece behind the image panel was run thru the cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder then added to a piece of Riding Hood Red as well. You can't see it in the picture, but behind the image panel and the CB panel there is a piece of white organdy ribbon going straight across.
Well, that's my card - you like?
Yesterday was stamp camp at Anne's house. I did not go last month but I would not miss this month. I love going to her house and creating. You wanna see what we made yesterday? Of course you do!
We used the die cut from SU! to create this adorable little box and then we made these little note cards!
We made these two cards too. Actually we made 3 cards, but I've already used one of them and forgot to take a picture!
The minute I saw this medallion I knew that I HAVE to have it! When I first saw it in the catty I thought it would go on my wish list - but now I know for sure it's the next thing that I want. And the little robots, aren't they adorable?! I'm not a fan of robots, and they are popping up all over - I think it's because I don't have a little boy. I don't know. But this card she created for us was adorable! It's hard to tell in the picture, but the little bellies are stamped on colored paper and cut out and pop dotted on to the card. It really is adorable!!
So - how is that for the day? Did I make up for not being around? No, I know. But I hope to create more today for you!
Have a great afternoon!

Happy Thursday

Howdy everyone, sorry for the delay. I knew that this week would be a weird posting one. With hubby home we've been kinda on the go ~ and yesterday we went into town to a doctor for Danielle. She's fine - but this doctor was in Lexington. It was the first time that we've ventured "into" the heart of Lexington.

We are talking one way streets and traffic. Defiantly not what the have here in town! We have to go back again next week for a follow up. Everything is fine though.

Today I wanted to show you a card that I made for a friend who's birthday is coming up. Since I am in love with cupcakes I had to make this one. I hope that you like it! I used an older sketch from SCS ~ it was sketch SC225

For this card I used a few of my favorites. The base card is Chocolate Chip that I layered with Pink Pirouette and some DP from Close to My Heart. The pink polka dotted paper did not list a maker on it, sorry.

I stamped the image from My Favorite Things and colored it in with my pencils and gamsol. I then sponged some Chocolate Chip ink around the edges and layered it on to a piece of Chocolate Chip cs. Before attaching it to the front card panel I punched a couple of holes in the upper left and attached some ribbon scraps I had and the brads. The inside I used my "old faithful" birthday stamp that I've had FOREVER from D.O.T.S. in Pink Passion ink. I seem to use that on most of my birthday cards, I just love that stamp~as you can see *Ü*

I hope that she likes it!

That's all I've got for now. I hope to get into my craft room soon and create something.

Have a super duper day!

Hello everyone!

So sorry for the late post today ~ just busy with life.

Today was kind of a run around day. Mom had another appointment and we went to lunch. Took Danielle to her boyfriends - just puttered around town. Then I came home and saw the sketch over at Mojo Monday. Had to take part in that. So after watching hubby do this hilarious dance out side....
Ok, let me explain. If it was not for the fact that I need to charge up my camera's batteries I would of taken a movie of it. Remember his birdhouse? Well it seems that the birds are making more nests in it, that's great. But in one of the holes there is a hornets nest, and it's kind of big. Not wanting to spray anything in there he decided that he was going to suck it out with the vacuum. Well, he tried his little car vac, nope that would not fit. He tried my electric broom that comes apart. Nope. Then he tried his shop vac and the attachments, yippie!!

So here he was in the yard with the shop vac and the hose with a stick trying to break up the nest. Yes, just as you thought ~ the hornets got mad. So here he is in the yard with a stick and the hose and all I can see is him doing this fencing kind of move like he's in a sword fight with someone. It was hilarious!!! I so wish the batteries were charged ~ it was one of those America's Funniest Video moments!!

Ok, I'm sure your ready for some creativity. Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday.
Here is my version of the sketch.
The base card is Certainly Celery that I layered with Pink Pirouette, Pink Passion and some DP from Deja Views that I got when I went to Archiver's. The stamp image is from The Angel Company's set called Barnyard Birthday. I added some ribbon, stickels, brads and jewels to the card. The sentiment I cut out with my nesties. I hope that it inspires you!
Other than that, that's all I've got for you today. I hope to have more for you tomorrow!!
Have a great evening!!
